I'm including the following races as playable characters in DFD_RPG: Corvian (flightless crow folk), Dwarf, Elf (Elder), Elf (Wood), Gnome, Goblin, Halfling, Human, and Muddleflog (frog folk)... I want to have 10 options. What would people like to see as a playable fantasy race for DFD_RPG?

How about the R.O.U.S.? You have two mice and rats sets out, you know...

Some form of lizardfolk, perhaps?

Basically brainstorming: Dragonkin, Werefolk(esp. Wolf or Bear), Golem/Alchemical Robot, Giantkin (ie a Big Brute), Elemental (four types?)

You can anthropomorphize anything and get my vote. Some mantis-esque creature? Cat-folk? Some sort of fairy/angel? Perhaps some demon-kind-of-thing?

Some of these guys were going to make it into the Dark Depths, but I decided to make them their very own set that will go out to all the KS backers as a bonus. Darkfast Dungeons cards included.

Sweet minis! I can't wait to get them cut. There's something about your PDFs though that have always given my computer fits. dfd_lfm.pdf is over 20MB and takes like 30 seconds just to open. Trying to interact with Adobe Reader... everything takes several 10s of seconds. What software do you use to create the PDFs? My machine is updating to Acrobat Reader DC v15.010.20056 right now... This is my work machine - not a super-high-end machine by any stretch of the imagination, but no slouch either. I'll see how things behave on my slightly beefier home machine tonight.

The latest Reader version is indeed quite a bit faster than the last one I had installed, at least with respect to dfd_lfm.pdf. Still, it's pretty slow working with those PDFs relative to other ones, and I wonder if it's partly an issue of image quality/compression in the PDF. 22MB *seems* a little excessive for a 2 page PDF with a few layers...

I'm using InDesign for the pdfs. Most of my pdfs are about 20-30 mb. I try to use 300 dpi for all the images for best printing results.

Have to agree with mproteau (Paper Realms) as regards how slow the newer Okumarts PDFs are to open and access. Worst of all is they seem to be getting slower. Took me nearly two minutes to get access to the skeleton fishies (smaller PDF), while the full set took almost four, and I thought it had crashed the entire system at one point, as it even froze out the mouse cursor. Worth saying I really don't have anything like this problem with even far larger artwork PDFs from elsewhere (a couple of new 150-175 MB files that opened in no more than 10-12 seconds this week and last, for instance). I suspect the problem is with the layers, and that there's some glitch in the way these are set up which is creating such havoc. Other PDFs I have with layers, and even layer control panels (like the Lord Zsezse Elven sets, and the Papercraft Dungeon models and minis), don't run anything like this slowly - including on an older PC I still run from time to time, which I think runs Adobe Reader 7 - so I'd guess there's something going on behind the scenes that maybe needs some definite tweaking with the Okumarts files. And still more weirdly, the latest files (Fishmen sets) were very slow to download from the OBS site. I was collecting various other items at the same time, including a couple of zipped items significantly larger than this zip file, and everything else downloaded more than a full minute before this one. Fair to say though that OBS has had an odd couple of days this week, with the sites frequently being offline temporarily (including when I was partway through a purchase yesterday - hey if you don't want my money, you only have to say guys!). Not sure this is likely to be related, but maybe there is some hidden file-size or file-composition issue going on overall? No complaints with the sets when I could finally see them, of course

Hmm... well, this is odd. I was using Illustrator for a while, but went back to Indesign. I haven't modified the settings at all. Strange. They load almost immediately for me on my Macbook with no delay.

Thanks for the Fishmen!!! Have you ever thought of doing a Greek themed player character set? Inspired by Clash Of the Titans 1980's and Jason & the Argonauts. Guys in togas with Helmets and shields, a Hercules in a lion skin wrap with a club etc. Just thought that would be a cool little set since you have quite a few cool monsters that would already work with them, the Medusa, Harpies, Cerebus etc..

That's a neat idea. I may include some Greek(esque) figures in a set soon. Some of the helmets looked a bit Spartan. Maybe I should go for it?

Something coming this week for Darkfast Dungeons, but I think there will be lots of crossover appeal.

I don't find that creature appealing at all. That is a good thing.

The Eldritch Horror paper mini sets are now out and I'll be honest, I wish they could be even bigger. There is so much more to cover. I realize I'm going to have to make a whole set of cultists and I want to make fold flat versions of the Innsmouth buildings (with interiors) eventually. All looking good, I have to say. The PDFs also opened hugely faster than some of your previous recent mini sets (we had the discussion earlier!), so hopefully whatever demon was slowing things down has been successfully trapped/sent home/slain/banished this time. Loving the idea of more cultists (don't forget, you already made some robed cult types), and especially the building interiors. I could subtly hint towards needing a certain farmhouse partly built into a hillside, or a run-down general store in an old deconsecrated church, maybe even an old farmhouse with a well and a tree in the front yard*, should you be short of ideas for additional buildings. But then you'd need still more monsters, a different set of "damaged" civilians, another set of replacement investigators, and probably other things I haven't remembered while typing this... Like the stone hilltop monuments (DH)*. Plus, as it is: These sets got a little out of control. More or less what you'd expect as soon as you get anything Mythos-related involved. SAN rolls all round, I fancy * See Lovecraft's "Dunwich Horror" and "Colour Out Of Space", should anyone need pointers

Something coming this week for Darkfast Dungeons, but I think there will be lots of crossover appeal. OK. I see building A in the picture here - that's the little one in the top left corner, right? But, in the PDF, I don't see how th build the building. Only one of the four walls has a peak. I'd have expected two... Am I missing something?
