Who doesn't need a giant bear idol in the middle of a grove? Four-page model that could easily be built if printed at two pages per page, if you need it smaller. You can find it here: www.town.yakumo.lg.jp/modules/museum/content0040.htmlFound this through Ninjatoes Blog

I don't need this for anything!
But I'll make two anyway.

It's funny that I was just thinking last night about how some of the woodcarving pieces I did in Boy Scouts would translate well to paper, and then I spot this

Okay, before taking the Viking village down, I decided this guy needed to sit on the Brave Adventures Dwarven Cannon base in the center of the village. Remembered to use some of the papercruiser rocks this time. But first, some build notes. Eleven parts on four pages. I printed at two pages per page and it is still enormous. Parts are not laid out logically except on page four where parts 8 and 9 are next to each other and even aligned. Each tab has a number. Where there isn't a tab, there is a number printed outside the part indicating which tab goes there. On each part, I turned it over and wrote the tab number on all the gaps. Bends are all indicated with dotted lines with no differentiation between mountain and valley folds. Once I found a part that matched a number on the base, it was off to the races. At this point I had a decision to make. With interlocking tabs, and having to guess at whether it is valley or mountain folds, is it better to work around and wrestle with the last part? Is it easier to work from the base and work up? I chose the latter. If you did it at full size, you might be able to get your fingers in there and just add strips around. It isn't as puzzling as it originally looked. There were a couple awkward moments. But I think it looks good Now if someone were to retexture this guy as granite or marble, it could be a very striking piece. Oh, yeah, I put some aquarium gravel in there before adding the head for a little ballast
