I needed some WW2 German soldiers paper minis for my skirmish games. So, while waiting for other authors, I asked to Lucas ( Lvmenes ) if he could do something for me. He is a great guy and he has been available to draw a new WW2 german soldiers set. Now this set is for sale on RPGNow. Description:
PDF containing 12 Miniatures in 28 ~ 30 mm scale. Theme: German Soldiers, World War II Features: - Alternative Colors - Alternative Borders - 2 bonus miniaturesFourteen great paper minis (including a German shepherd dog, with front and back art. I love German Shepherds dogs ) with three different uniform colors ( including a camouflage color ). At the cost of only one buck ( the only wrong thing imho ). if anyone is interested in these paper minis ( or even just want to support the author, he deserves it ) with this set he will not be disappointed.

I will not be using mine for wargaming, but instead against fedora-wearing, whip-wielding palaeontologists!

I have just (5 minutes ago) uploaded a new pdf in DriveThruRPG. It is just a minimal modification: the suspenders on the back of the soldiers. Yes, the back webbing should be "Y"-shaped. Might be worthwhile updating the photos to show this change, as anyone looking for strictly historical miniatures could be deterred. A few other thoughts. I can't be sure from the images, but I think the MG belt for the tripod-mounted MG34/42 is feeding into the wrong side of the gun. The ammunition belt should pass into the left-hand side of the breech from the gunner's position, not the right. Also, with this tripod set-up, there should be at least a second crewman to keep the ammunition belt feeding properly. The flamethrower (Flammenwerfer 41) and bazooka (Raketenpanzerbüchse 54, if you prefer!) are very time-diagnostic [from 1941 and 1944 onwards respectively, for anyone not familiar]. The flamethrower's not too much of a problem, but the "big cylinder" Fw 35 (pre-1941) and "lifebuoy" Fw 40 (from 1940) might be interesting alternatives, if you wanted to add to the set later, or as part of a future expansion. For early-war (through to 1941/42), maybe an anti-tank rifle (PzB 39 or 41) might be a useful alternative, plus for platoon-level combat troops, adding a 5cm mortar - or the short-barrelled 8cm after 1942 - and crew could be helpful. They're nice, clean minis overall, and very welcome though. Maybe a little too "clean" for mid to late war troops, where many combat and weather-dependent modifications were often made, perhaps something that could be accommodated through PDF layers? And it would be great to see more in the same style, both different German troop types (e.g. paratroops, mountain troops, Afrika Korps, Volkssturm), their allies, and of course their enemies - French, British & Commonwealth, Russian and American forces, plus the many nations whose forces weren't involved in such protracted fighting. It's been many years since I last did any WW2 figure wargaming, so it's been fascinating to revisit it in the last few days. These minis could tempt me to go back to it, I think!

Wyvern, many thanks for the level of detail. I am working on a game set in the Eastern Front from Barbarossa until Stalingrad (June, 1941 to January, 1943). I will be studying weapons, equipment and uniforms until I am ready to commission art, but I would love to get your input into the prototypes once I get to that stage. I want historical accuracy.
Oh, my game is "Tank Shock: WWII" and is discussed in this forum in the thread "Fire and Maneuver:WWII". I changed the name to Tank Shock after starting that thread.

Horse Guard's paper soldiers ( Google transated "Horse Guard's paper soldiers" ) PaperWars ( English translated PaperWars ) PaperCraft ( English translated PaperCraft ) Paper Soldiers ( googled Paper Soldiers ) Normally, however, to be able to download the files, you need to be on the original pages, untranslated.

Yes, the back webbing should be "Y"-shaped. [...] Exactly. That was the modification. I put them on "Y"-shape on the new version. Thank you all.

I wanted to see what the 28mm minis would look like alongside some 1/72nd models in Tank Shock: WWII. The mech force is two BA-6 Armored Cars (less than 50 horsepower for a 10,000 lb. vehicle, ugh), two BT-7 tanks and one T-34/85. Bases and terrain by Arctic Dragon Games, models by Pegasus.
