(Ugh, ugh... I made it...) Meet Daria. You don't want to mess with her, as she is (some say self proclaimed) death incarnate. What? She does not look like one? Well, what would you expect? She is 12, she'll develop. For now she lives with her family in a ca' 2060AD postapocalyptic town. Her mother just sent her to pick a chicken for dinner, and bring it to dad to slaughter and pluck... well a chicken is not something a death incarnate cannot handle herself right? The results you can see on the pictures.

Scary mini! If I were a zombie (or chicken) I'd be pretty worried. Are you going to make more post-apocalyptic stuff?

Interesting concept. I've never used a hatchet or axe for that purpose successfully, though. Neck wringing is faster and cleaner, and I'd like to think it causes the chicken less pain
Good figure

@ryan and wildagreenbough Daria is a small part of a much bigger project (although not miniatures related), so yes i will do more postapo stuff, and perhaps some of it will turn into minis or models. When I'll be ready I will let you now what it is. (there is a concealed hint in the images though). Regarding miniatures my focus is now on Aspasia Achsenberg steampunk team. They were to have their premiere appearance in multi figure category, but as they are inteded for a commercial set they went off limits. You'll have to wait yet some time to see them. (Mundane life is unforgiving for private projects) pavaroI usually use flat slot basing. Similar to Reivaj system. @vermin King I'm no expert in slaughtering chickens actually. I know wringing is quite common though my grandmother (in her young years) supposedly used kitchen cleaver for this purpose with amazing skill.

It takes a lot of skill with a blade. The vertebrae in a chicken's neck tend to make a blade bounce rather than break and let it go through. I guess this is my farm upbringing coming out. But for the squeamish, I should probably shut up now.
