Armageddon ?! What's this? The initiate is called the game only briefly "Arma". Hence the name of this blog.
Well, actually, Armageddon means something quite different, namely: Armageddon (Armageddon, Armageddon or Har-Magedon, Greek Ἁρμαγεδών) referred to in the Book of Revelation the place of the eschatological final battle in the "war of the great day of God the Almighty". But here is meant the tabletop game (not to be confused with several computer games). I would like to quote from the Wikipedia article, the deserved Arma player has created: "Armageddon is a tabletop strategy game with fantastic elements, move in which any number of players a variety of figures on a highly customizable hexagonal playfield. ... In the late 1960s Edi Lukschandl, Hubert Straßl and Axel Melhardt developed an anabolic to a Sechseckplan game called the game world, the old world, it was later Magira and Armageddon.
At the Science Fiction Con in Vienna was founded in 1966 FOLLOW. That was a native to Magira game simulation, run by an enthusiastic group of mainly Viennese fantasy and gaming fans. The first Armageddon game took place on March 30, 1968. Shortly after, appeared in the first 6 Follow Armageddon Rulebook. These rules were very different from the current rules. 1975 appeared the third Armageddon rulebook, the rules had been very heavily revised, mainly by Franz cupping.
1978, the EDFC (first German Fantasy Club) was founded, the 5th edition of the rules was published in 1981 when EDFC, which publishes the rules of the game today. "
