I know many if us ,myself included, begin our designs by hand and finish them on computer. I have small kids who are always interested in my minis so occasionally I whip them up some stuff for them to make ...and usually destroy five minutes later. It got me wondering has anyone ever just grabbed up some pens, cardstock, and blades and busted out some minis or terrain for a game?

We have a year Y game of mighty monsters where I make the players create their own minis with pen and paper, it's hilarious.

We once go together to game and realised we had no figures. We did A frame "Order of the Stick" styles for our characters and the DM did all the monsters. As a matter of fact, I did the same thing when my son forgot figs for the game he was dming for his birthday. yeah, it works fine for RPG's. I wouldn't want to do it for a massed battle.

I could see a sort of wargame were you had to draw up your units as you fielded them..actually I think it would be fun way to put your creative skills to the test Your opponent calls out some ridculous unit and if you can pull it off you get to stat them and get some victory points....">>>Oh yeah lets see you draw a unit of orc unicyclist lancer!!!!"
