I can't get the photo black tank from the continuous ink system for my Canon Pixma iP4830 to seat properly any more, and it may be permanently kaput. I've had the printer for several years; what's the current best recommendation for a printer that can economically put out lots of print-and-play components, miniatures, terrain, and rulebooks, and new game prototypes? I've been using a CIS inkjet for the last five-ish years; should I replace the 4830 with a new inkjet and CIS, or are lasers and colour toner reasonably economical?
And which current models actually have the right aspect ratio to print squares as square?

I'm sure there are many good recommendations, but I've found that my HP OfficeJet 5740 works very well. I use it in conjunction with my Silhouette Cameo and have had very nice results. As far as I can tell, the aspect ratio is good and I'm satisfied with the print quality. I would also recommend the HP Instant Ink plan. I pay $9.99 a month for 300 pages per month and there are cheaper plans. Doesn't matter how much ink you use on each page, so for paper crafters this is a very good deal.
