no such thing!! I have a HUGE army of High elves now and I need to be able to bring them down.... I wasn't really planning on making a rat kin/ skaven army but the opportunity hit at just the right time! I was actually going to make a Dark elf army (my buddy asked for an all female dark elf war-band to fit his Mordhiem narrative ... I guess they were going to be NPC bad guys ?).... check it out ... this is what I was working on....
but then someone asked about rat men and I saw that PDF and was like ohhh I can hot rod these.... and the rest is history... which is fine because my buddy ended up liking the Skaven more LOL though he still wants the DE to use later .... ok , what ever ....
So its been a few minuets since I posted in here ... I've been working on the screaming bell and without going back to see where I left Off I just posted the WIP pages on here, some of these are a repeat but some people don't want to scroll back through 6 pages of posts to see all the pages ... ok so this time I did page 7 and I am hoping to have Page 9 done tonight! and I don't know how I screwed up the page numbers but oh well .... so page 7 is this part right here
I should have a build shot soon!
in the mean time here's all the rest of the Screaming bell
ok so now that I have built page 7 it looks pretty good but it's really fiddly some how I messed up the measurements on the inner wood piece so I have to fix those I wanted that to happen tonight but something came up and now I won't be able to get to it till next week some time... Sorry lads ! Also this whole model is public domain so if anyone thinks they can do what I'm doing better PLEASE help a brother out... I'm no where near as good as Ebbels, the Dave's or Keven LOL I'm just ramshackleing this thing together LOL
ok so now for the moment you have been waiting for! well probably not but it the next step in the screaming bell! I made the clapper and the spiked lever along with a way to attach the bell to the wooden spindle. I can't believe I am up to 13 pages already and there is still so much to do! so here's where instructions are really going to come in handy. when you are making the bell assembly , you make the bell with the clapper and the connector the you take the spiked round lever thingy and cut out the middle and put them on either side of the wooden spindle pice .... then put the entire assembly into the stone arch and adjust it to where you want it. So I came at it all wrong and had to cut my model apart to make it work LOL and in the end I had to use a scrap piece of paper to make the wooden spindle piece. and this is what it should look like !
you know I was sitting here thinking about some of my other projects that I will be working on soon and it dawned on me this bell project it RIPE for kit bashing! I mean you can use the A frame assembely to make a catapult or any number of structures .... The parts and pieces would make great bits to start from on other projects so don't be shy! gut this sucker and make something new and amazing!
cowboyleland: Putting on my pedantic hat: some of you are mis-using the term "begs the question." Some day I will make myself a paper pedantic hat.

Vermin King: I wouldn't hold my breath. He used to be very active on a French forum, so I asked him if he was going to be back there. no response yet

squirmydad: Crap. I hope he's able to recover and republish his work.

Vermin King: I sent Mauther an email. My guess is that it will be inaccessible while he is migrating things over to Blogger

wyvern: Today though, the Papermau blog is no longer accessible unless you have an invitation (and of course you can't get one unless you visit the blog, Catch 22). Anyone got any better news about it?

wyvern: I know Papermau's blog has been having problems because of virus infections lately - it's fired-up my antivirus system every time I've visited there for some weeks, though he did write and say the problem was resolved a while back (it wasn't).

Vermin King: I suppose it could have been worse. She could boost someone up in a positive uplifting supportive manner...

Vermin King: Okay ... double negatives are bad, but how about triple saying the same thing. I just heard someone on TV saying, 'I found we really boosted each other up in an uplifting supportive manner'. And that was probably meaningful to her. duh

Vermin King: Back in my younger days, I tried to get 'Trick or Drink' running. We would go door to door in costume with our Halloween-themed rocks glasses in hand.

shep: On the other hand, Halloween is not that big for kids, here in Germany, anyways. It's more an excuse for teens and young adults to dress up and have a party... and for the latter ones to get drunk beyond speaking their native tongue...

shep: "A ninja, a mage, a knight, and a fish enter a tavern..." Wait this is no joke??!? Great costumes! The kids in my neighborhood were, as always, either too shy or too lazy to climb up into the third floor (40 steps, man, 40 steps!)...
