The theme for this months HOARD is Odd Bodkins! This can be any sort of miniature figure or model on the above theme or feel free to submit miniatures off theme. If you submit a figure, they must include both front and rear art, have a proper trimming outline, and include instructions for multi-part models. Recolors and figure mods are encouraged, and even uncolored designs are welcome. No nudity or sexuality, but bloody gory and horrifying is encouraged. If you have questions about how to design your entries, like formats, resolution, and stuff like that, see the HOARD GUIDELINES in this forum category. Entries for the Hoard will be accepted until the last day of October, 2015. This is the Hoard for all of those ideas you had for every other Hoard and meant to finish but for some reason life got in the way. But now you have a second chance to finish and post that fabulous idea from days gone by! All ideas are welcome. *Also note that I've slightly changed the entry guidelines to be more open to things that aren't figures. I'd always thought the term miniature was open-ended for all things tiny (figures, tanks, trains, etc.) and the term was never meant to limit peoples creativity with their entries. Literally, all ideas are welcome.

Wow, do you ever know how to push my buttons. I have this unfinished project...
Is a three page, 3D, 15mm (alternate history) tank too large a project for the Hoards?

I started it in June of 2011!!!! I was working on it again this past August. I have done two test build white models. I want to tweek some parts but I have other parts textured. I could get this done by Halloween. On the other hand there is my wife's birthday, Canadian Thanksgiving, Halloween and a madarchitect codex project I need to get done for my "Guys Weekend" in a month. Still, could happen.

Once upon a time I used to play an online text-based zombie survival game called Urban Dead. My Squirmydad character in that game was a soldier who started restoring bars. DOWNLOAD

I have been off-line for a while because my kids (must have been the kids) burned through my internet quota. I have been focusing on my Knights of Camelot with medieval manuscript figures but I put some work into my "unfinished" tank two nights ago. I think I can get it done in time.

Texturing (and clean up) is done (I think.) I'm going to print it out and do a build tomorrow night. Any advice about instructions? I should lay this out for the robocutter shouldn't I?

If you can make the parts fit into a robocutter compatible cutting area that would be ideal. You can use the reg-marks off of the last Horde as a guide. In the spirit of the procrastinators theme that underlies this month's Horde I'm extending the deadline for submissions to Monday 11/2 for any last-minute weekend bright ideas.

OK today's build produced a list of nine things I want to change. That and instructions by Monday? It may depend on how many trick or treaters I get. Here is a picture to prove there has been progress. Also it seems very brown. Any suggestions?

change some of the textures to copper or steel? Make it Steam Punk?

Or experiment with your wood textures to use different types of wood? Add some grunge in spots to make the nooks and crannies stand out?

change some of the textures <...> Make it Steam Punk? Steam Punk => rusty metal with some stains and/or obliterated signs could be fine IMHO

If you don't want to add too much metal, you could add metal bands (like around a barrel) to add some details.

If there's anything I can do to help (anyone) tie up loose ends, let me know! I'm closing in on being "done" on my next little model, and will have some time to do other things while I procrastinate on making the instructions... layout, layered pdfs, cutfiles... even trying to take pictures of things!
