I still want to have his gold dragon looking down at me from the shelf above my desk. But there are always so many distractions...

Those are fantastic builds! No way could I build figures that small. You never know till you try! Give it a shot, I bet it is easier than you think. Also, I have upped my D&D gaming scale to 1:36. That makes things easier!

Stuff From his latest set, the cthulu mythos. I finally downloaded this set tonight. I had to laugh. Pre-cut and fold, Cthulu's head looks like Groot

They are really not that bad Antohammer. To be fair though I do make cutfiles for them (I don't think I would have made most of them without cutfiles). The patience mainly lies in waiting for glue to dry before moving on to the next step.

I am trying to get my eddnic / cowboyleland eye back. So, I have been studying my eddnic and cowboyleland files. I had forgotten cowboyleland's Venetian noble. I did remember his tri-cornered hats. I was hoping to find suitable models to turn into Venice and Northmen pieces. And I am not seeing any quick repaints. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Well, I will never be able to imitate until I build a few. You all know how I adore Far East stuff, so that is where I started. I did get rid of the interlocking tabs and replaced with a traditional tab, which makes these fairly easy, except for the edging

I never understood the tab and slot thing. Maybe it is supposed to be sort of "self clamping" while the glue dries?

Because of this tab and slot you don't need any glue at all. It holds everything together simply by the tension of the paper. I think it is much easier than glueing. I like it a lot (and I nearly built every standee from eddnic)

Next up are the Tengu and Daitengu. I'll start working on the Nue tonight. I printed off the first samurai with the 20 parts, but I think I will move onto my sheet of the later samurai and ninja before that. The first one is similar to a Fabrizio Prudenziati figure. The later ones are more like what we expect as an eddnic figure. BTW, I mentioned somewhere that I wanted to get experience with these so I could design some Venetian and Norse figures. Those later Dwarfs certainly have a Norse feel. Enlarging and elongating may get me a few.

Somewhere I had talked about enlarging some of eddnic's dwarves and then elongating them. Silly me. By taking a soldier or barbarian body, I can take the dwarf parts and fit them to the taller body. Not as difficult as the other way. Likewise, some of the Longhi and Sand figures could be fitted to the Eddnic bodies.

For the foreseeable future, my time is going to be extremely limited. So, I did Kitsune Sunday night, Nue on Monday, Tsuchigumo last night, and hope to get Ushi Oni done tonight EDIT -- and the Ushi Oni joins the merry band

ignatious, how large is your base for the sea serpent? I was able to enlarge to 111% and with moving things around, it all fits on one page. But it will need a base

not all of these are the easiest (specifically the sea serpent), but man do they look cool. thanks eddnic. I see what you mean. At this point I gave up on my original approach on the Sea Serpent. I actually enlarged to 111%, and it is still very difficult. I started out rounding the parts into winding half cylinders, hoping that I could slide them together. Not a chance. On eddnic's images, the cross-sections are diamond shaped, so I tried that. To get the central loop, I ended up flattening and gluing together. Once dry, I attempted to shape it. Not entirely successfully. On the tail and neck I plan on flattening and gluing a tab at a time, starting in the middle. That way I can use my needle-nose pliers to get each pair of tabs solid before moving to the next pair EDIT -- For the base, it will need to be at least 3 inches wide, since the center coil is 2.7 inches across. Not a clue on length yet. As you can see in the background, I finally got my water tiles to print correctly. I hope when I print the base I won't have a major problem
