The theme for this months HOARD is THE END This can be any sort of miniature figure or model on the above theme or feel free to submit miniatures off theme. If you submit a figure, they must include both front and rear art, have a proper trimming outline, and include instructions for multi-part models. Recolors and figure mods are encouraged, and even uncolored designs are welcome. No nudity or sexuality, but bloody gory and horrifying is encouraged. If you have questions about how to design your entries, like formats, resolution, and stuff like that, see the HOARD GUIDELINES in this forum category. Entries for the Hoard will be accepted until the last day of December, 2015. The End times are nigh! Or perhaps they've already come? It is the time of the Four Horsemen, the dead walk and the skies burn! Just in time for Christmas too.

I'm in a silly non-sleeping mood tonight, so I see your end and raise you another. A pullme-pushyou!

---Incoming transmission--- Hello, Commander. In light of recent Apocalyptic events, this council of nations has convened to approve the activation of ECOM, the Endtimes Combat Command project. You have been chosen to participate in this initiative. To help oversee our first, and last, line of defense. Your efforts will have considerable influence on this planet's future, as well as this forum. We urge you to keep that in mind as you proceed. Good luck, commander. ---End of transmission--- Supplemental data packets: Prototype ECOM Operator-class armor, initial field testing. Unidentified extraterrestrial specimens, initial field contact.

^ I concur! If I ever need a UFO - paper or not - that's what I want it to look like!

Well we've already got the figure flats formatted for this hoard (as well as a number of others we haven't shown yet). I don't want us to monopolize this month's hoard, so we'll probably hold of on the dropship and UFO for now unless there are a few more submissions. So we'll see -Mick

Monopolize Away. I've been doodling Mr. Gutsy and Mr. Handy from Fallout... Not sure I'll get them done in time though

squirmydad - if there's anything I can do to help pull some bits together - lay out some PDFs, make some cutfiles, snap some photos, just drop me a PM. I've still got a whole three days before I'm back to work, and even then, I'd always rather be helping here!

2015 and Forum Horde #136 - The End, are done! This also ends my term as Forum Hoard administrator. Which means there is an opportunity for someone out there to run this part of the Cardboard Warriors operations. Stand up and shout if you want this chair! www.onemonk.com/fh-2015.htmlRight now the chair is vacant and there is no Hoard theme selected for January 2016 so I'll throw out a couple of ideas; -Lunar Rebellion -Under the Sea -Dancing with the Schmucks Thanks all!

Aargh! I certainly hope that someone with better skills than me will step up to the plate. We really appreciate all that you've done, Eric. I don't do anything with cutfiles. I'm getting better at laying out pages, but not that great. Photos are getting better, but still not that good. I wish I'd spent more time working on these skills ...

I'm getting better at laying out pages, but not that great. Photos are getting better, but still not that good. I wish I'd spent more time working on these skills ... Doing the Models & Miniatures in Paper showcases was my apprenticeship in layout, web design, FTP, cut-files creation, etc. Cut-files are made easier by having a clean layout to work with. Layouts are made easier by designers submitting their projects in consistent dpi and making sure their model bits fit into the cutting space. Sometimes, with bigger models, the cut-files become cutting-assist files when big pieces overlap outside the cutting area. I always tell my tech students, "We learn by doing an activity, not by talking about it."

Unless someone has stepped up privately, I tell you what... if someone is willing to choose the horde categories and run the forum side of things, I will take on actually receiving the submissions, formatting them, making the cutfiles, and (trying to) take promo pics. If I choose the categories, they'll end up being "January 1st edition Monster Manual monsters", "February 3rd edition Monster Manual IV monsters" etc. I mean, I'll go there if I have to, for the sake of the horde. If someone's willing to team up, PM me and let's get some process going to welcome in the new year!

I think we will be able to work something out there.
So that we don't lose momentum, shall I start a January Hoard thread?
BTW, I didn't wait for any answer. Call me 'impetuous'

You are impetuous. You said that is what I should call you. Thanks to the both of you. I feel like the hoard is in good hands.
