With the Steampunk Hoard coming up, I (once again) got side-tracked. Ages ago I made this printed at three pages per page as a slightly large Christmas ornament for a friend (minus the Gatling gun) Now, I wanted it for 28mm. And, I'll have to come back to posting photos, since postimage.org is down ... Well, it can wait until tomorrow, I guess. So does this take the prize for the worst Gallery post? mmiparchive.papermakeit.com/36%20-%20Steampunk%20Warmachines.html

Not only that, you got the gun mount to work too I see.
I was so proud of that model. Got the inspiration from my 1920s Singer sewing machine....which I used just this afternoon to make a liner for a WWI helmet so it can be worn in a play.
Nice work VK.

It's working again, Claudio may have been doing some maintenance. Still, time for a change.

I did print the complete model, with extra wings to make them double sided. I need to build it now.

I can't download some zip files ( on the same steampunk veichles page ) Some are not ZIP files - they are RAR files. My browser chose to display them as text, but right-clicking on them and selecting "Save Link As..." worked just fine. I was able to download everything on the "36 - Steampunk Warmachines" page.

7-Zip opens RAR, ZIP, and a host of other compressed files

7-Zip opens RAR, ZIP, and a host of other compressed files True, and we use 7-zip here at work, but Firefox is treating them as text, so it doesn't offer to download them.

I think I'll take some photos of my mom's old sewing machine this weekend. Maybe her mother's old foot-powered sewing machine is in the attic still, too.

I did print the complete model, with extra wings to make them double sided. I need to build it now. I think I spent more time coming up with what mirrored parts I needed to have tops and bottoms of wings (and to see what else might be handy) than it took to build. Going back to the Steampunk Hoard, I've been looking at the Eole and other early steam powered flyers. I'm also amazed that steam technology had advanced by the 1890's and early 1900's that many of the steam-powered early automobiles didn't look 'steampunk' at all, unlike the steam carriages of 1840's England. Have you considered doing any more of these, GM64?
