Okay, not moving very fast on what I want to do for the Shipwreck, so I decided to go back to this model that I downloaded back in 2010 from a link found on Iceberg Bouwplaten site.
The site doesn't seem to be able to be opened through Wayback Machine, now. You have to log in. Important rule, if it is available now, download it now, because it might not be available later.
What is a tretradkran?
Yes, it's a foot-powered medieval crane. It was such an odd model, that I downloaded it.
These things were used for loading and unloading goods, and in construction projects. The model I downloaded was 1:100, so I needed it twice the size, only the largest piece would not fit on a letter-sized page. So, I'm doing a mini-tretradkran, enlarged 150%.
This one wasn't done at 100% either
I'm going to set this up so that the structure can swivel, though the model wasn't set up that way.
Wish me luck
You can find this and other Harbor Cranes at en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_historical_harbour_cranes

The crane was too small with a 50% enlargement, so started from scratch and had to break up some of the parts. It's now six pages, when I hoped to keep it at three to four. I also added parts to keep so much white from showing. I tried to add a subtle grayness to the wood and darkened the roof. I should have taken more time and effort, but it will do.

It probably would have been a better model to start from than the one I'm using. I really should have done more to retexture it

I find it interesting that on the OBS sites or the Fat Dragon forum, I can't seem to find any photos of the harbor crane. odd. So, muddling along, I worked on this old hand-drawn model. Keep in mind, not all projects are really successful, but they are not a waste if you learn something. Now, I do need to do some lawn work tomorrow and vacuuming, etc., but I hope to have this knocked out tomorrow afternoon or evening. The designer obviously wasn't concerned about white paper showing, but at the smaller scale, it probably wouldn't have been as noticeable.

I wish I hadn't been so impetuous on this. If I had studied it a bit more, I would have seen how the parts should have been done a bit differently. And if I'd actually retextured it, instead of just adjusting color, this really could have been a great model. It's still going to be good, I think. Getting close to the end.
