The theme for this month's HOARD is Pantheon of the Gods This can be any sort of miniature figure or model on the above theme or feel free to submit miniatures off theme. If you submit a figure, they must include both front and rear art, have a proper trimming outline, and include instructions for multi-part models. Recolors and figure mods are encouraged, and even uncolored designs are welcome. No nudity or sexuality, but bloody gory and horrifying is encouraged. If you have questions about how to design your entries, like formats, resolution, and stuff like that, see the HOARD GUIDELINES in this forum category. Entries for the Hoard will be accepted until the last day of June, 2016. Deities, Demigods, Priests, Priestesses, Loyal Followers, and, of course, the hands and feet of the gods: angels, demons, Valkyries. And they all have their holy symbols, temples, altars, and generally they have strong arms to ensure compliance to the order. This could be a really fun Hoard. Don't let the Agnostics get you down!

You can always feed the agnostics to the lions so they'll fit into this Hoard as well.

Yes, you are correct. Agnosticism and Atheism are religions, too. We should be all-inclusive.
And if we can't find lions, we can always burn 'em at the stake until they recant or cut out their hearts.
So, do torture devices fit in this Hoard?

So, do torture devices fit in this Hoard? Hmm, might be going a bit far...it'd depend on the presentation.

Well, I feel sometimes coincidence shouldn't be ignored. We had a casual mention of the Scouting movement in one of our threads and that provoked another comment and a few likes and then Vermin King posted a link to some Scout themed figures. I felt one of the figures sort of resembled Lord Baden Powell so I pasted in some of his famous portrait and made a back for it. Wondering where I should share it, I find this thread has opened up. Baden Powell may not be an actual demigod, but I would certainly call him a power for good. Here he is Edit: Just got back from the 100th anniversary Cuboree. After three days camping with other peoples kids it is possible to have moments of thinking that Baden Powell was a complete idiot

So, do torture devices fit in this Hoard? Lions, lions... lions everywhere... No need for these MUNDANE lions, as well as no need for any special devices! Here goes ultimate ancient Lion-Punisher! He is much worse and more scary compared to those mundane torture-devices, nah!
Now seriously - is such a mini OK for this Hoard? Then - this one is a (very) quick mock-up, made from parts/components available at various PERMES sets (MOD-KITS and accessories used), so you can do such and/or similar minis yourself! It is easy to add wings, horns, tails, various grounds and accessories (like banners, shields, cloaks etc.) to PERMES or any other minis! Actually I think that THIS Lion-Punisher would just benefit when 2.5/3D wings would be added (these could be differently placed and then bend for more realistic result, so the colour version could be different as well) So please don't hesitate and browse PERMES stuff at WargameVault and/or RPGnow - you can find there some appealing sets! That mini would be excellent for this horde.

Promised and delivered! Actually was really tempted with 2.5D idea/version - separate left and right wing (with slightly different top and underside) then with separate ground and perhaps even tail, so the whole figurine and some parts could be differently assembled / posed and bended (kinda tilt and swivel)... but hey... you can do it with scissors as well:) Enjoy and stay safe (beware lions from dark side)!

Cool. I'll definitely have a look for some inspiration. I was thinking of trying to make the goats something along this line: I remember a site that had a whole bunch of animals in this style, but I can't seem to find it at the moment. GM64

There were several Vintage papercrafts like that over at bibigreycat.blogspot.com/, but I'd hate to go through a thousand pages to find them It seems like I remember that style in a set for a circus, too. Tonight I'll try to find some sources. Also, if you use the Wayback Machine, Canon used to have a series of kids' models called 'Animals of ...'

We have a lot of the makings of this already, and if Mesper doesn't mind, maybe you can use his rams. ... I don't:) Then I could provide free "charging ram" kinda MOD-KIT (mount, ground, and perhaps even some sort of harness or caparison) Kinda something close to this one?:

I think those are a decent approach to creating some quick and easy almost 3d animals... Yes, but I never quite understood the crease down the back. If you curl them you get a more natural rounded back shape. You do have to modify them somewhat to make the folding details work.
