Quick, back up your downloads! Don't forget the freebies and kit-bashes! It turns out I had missed Deadfall:Building Essentials, mainly because it was a TLX product and I'll need to do some work with modifying the parts a bit before I can happily build anything with it. Seriously, back up your downloads.

OH! I just thought of a post-less solution to TLX! My fold-flat hack - smaller tab on one end, careful front-back gluing on the other! :-)
Might have to stretch the textures a little bit to be 3" proper.
Man. This would be great for storage and just-in-time assembly without clips OR posts.

oldschooldm: I know you probably will anyway, but please post pictures of the post-less solution so the rest of us can figure out what the heck you are talking about. I always admire your paper engineering.

I'd like to start modding the Deafall:Building Essentials TLX kit for construction in a less annoying format.

And I'd like to start the new-year making some modular terrain sets. I was ready to make anchors and posts, as most of my attempts to make slip-in posts ended up way to fiddly.

First prototype complete and I'm very happy with the results: Man, this takes a LOT less work than the original TLX system. Stores in even LESS space, if that were even possible. :-) You can even make tiles with unusual slots (diagonal, for example) if you want to put something special together. The only problem is the "dangling" tab - I had the same problem when helping lightning with the fold-flat version of his Japanese temple walls. I'll just have to make some tiles with 2 slots and use floating tabs, if needed.

What would be nice (and I'm not quite sure how to do it) is to see the old Shellendrak Manor Grand Gallery converted to TLX and Autocutter. I can do the autocutter files without problem, but I'm not sure how to go about making the rest of it. Any suggestions on where to start with this, or would someone be willing to take up the gauntlet and run with it. If you need the pdf file of the Grand Gallery ONLY, I can supply that. I don't think anyone will get upset about this since it is only one small part of a retired set.

whisper31 - are you specifically looking to make the grand gallery in TLX format, but have it look more like how it appeared in the original? Because the TLX conversion of Shellendrak that's available has *most* of the bits you'd need to make a Grand Gallery entry - just not quite everything. The walls are mostly there. You're just missing the wall that has the dragon statue thing on it, I think. That's certainly something that can be kitbashed together. There are TLX stairs to make the grand staircase. It's just quite a bit boxier than the original. Of course, TLX would prefer boxy rooms, not something that bumps out like the original Shellendrak Grand Gallery, but you can whip up custom tiles for that if you really need it.

I think that I would prefer to have the original GG in TLX format. I loved the way it looked. But I can work with the stuff that is already in TLX. I am just starting a massive Zombie Manor game (27" x 15" x 3levels plus roof). Hopefully I will be able to post pics as I go along from start to finish. I might ask the mods if I can have a project thread. Now to see where I can find transparency sheets that don't cost an arm and a leg and first born child... On a totally other unrelated note: Found this neat site that will take your multi-page PDF files and turn them into multiple single-page files for free with no registration or installation of anything. Split PDFSince it is a free site, they do limit the size of the files that you can split. Just though folks would like to know.

Do the split pages still have layered capability?

Do the split pages still have layered capability? DOH!!! Ya know...I didn't need any layering done with what I had, so I never checked. Let me take a quick look and see if it does. EDIT: Okay. Tried the Armor Grid Battle Tiles page #3, and....it failed. So I guess it does not have layering capability. The reason I mentioned this site is that the only printer I have access to at the moment can print PDF's from an SD card, but it prints the ENTIRE file. I just needed a few of them from the diffrent SM:WW set for my build.

Damn! I knew I should have picked up those Citizens of Himmelviel sets when I had the chance! Does anyone know if those minis have drawn backs? I'm considering getting them but I'm not gonna drop nine bucks on minis if they're only front art or mirrored backs. I want to see my ghost pirates butt!

A Maiden's 20 has black silhouette backs. Ditto for Himmelveil Citizens #1. Firstlight set seems to have some silhouettes, some mirrored, with no obvious consistency as to why. Himmelveil Citizens #2 has proper backs. I made cutfiles for this set, too. I found the scale to be weird - the cow and donkey seem HUGE. I am also not a huge fan of the permanently attached bases, like all these minis have.
If you're looking to collect all of their minis, there are some very set-specific minis in the four adventures that they have, too.

Closer inspection - three of the 29 minis in the Maiden's 20 set are mirrored. :-P

A help request. A few hours ago I purchased on site two paper minis sets. Paid with PayPal (I have the receipt). But when I try to download the twozipped files a gray box with the words (in Italian): "the file can not be saved because you can not read the source file. try again later or contact your system administrator" ( more or less ). I have searched on the WWG site but I couldn't find an email address to contact the support service. Obviously after each attempt ( always not successful ) the available downloads decrease.

I think I ran into that problem trying to re-download one of my sets (I think it was citizens of himmelveil 2)... I think it still counted towards my remaining downloads... that's another wrinkle - if noone's really actively monitoring the place, it's hard to depend on them restoring download access to files.

The dowmload reset *should* be automatic after three(?) days. There is no human on the other end of that.
