That is really outstanding. Did you do the carpet texture? That is really good.
I'm in that 'can I post this?' situation myself. I heavily modified sirrob's UFO dome to be the main structure of that round surveillance thing in my cantina diorama. Emailed him, but no response yet. GM64's Jerba has been modified considerably. I don't have the Dewback in finished form, yet. Should probably do that today.
Would some of my simple desert buildings fit in this category?
Do you know which artists supplied some of those items you included? Or could you link back to the page where you got them?
I think you are fine, by including a reference back to where you found them, but crediting the original designers would be just that much better

The "problem" is that the dundjinni forums are a vast territory, and that at the time I collected all those furnishings and other stuff, I didn't even think about saving the material with the artists names in the filenames. Damn deviantART for making that so easy for you... So, to credit every item correctly, I would have to go through every post in every thread of the dundjinni forums. A task that I can't spare the time to accomplish at the moment, since I right now should be re-creating around 100 Photoshop sreenshots for a book project. Also, there's a ship to finish for papercuts, I have to type a bunch of poems from my father, and on last Friday I got an asignment to write a 8-page-article with gaming material for Fragged Empire to be printed in (I believe) Germany's last RPG magazine. To draw the line, should the sickbay be inappropriate for the hoard, could one of the admins simply move the post to the "Where No Man Has Gone Before" thread? I think that'd be the best place to store it. The carpet, by the way, was pretty easy done in Photoshop: Create a new layer and fill it white. Then assign a pattern overlay to it, using the (I believe) polyester fibres pattern. Add another layer and fill it with a vibrant, medium light color. Set this layer to Overlay or Soft light. Merge both layers using Strg/Cmd+Shift+Alt+E (don't forget to deactivate all other layers before using the shortcut). This will produce a new layer with your final carpet. The brighter edge is achieved by selecting all surrounding walls, enlarging the selection, and filling it on a new layer with white. Set this layer to Overlay or Soft light, that should lighten up the carpet in these areas. If you want to merge the layers, do so by creating a new merged layer via Strg/Cmd+Shift+Alt+E.

My personal feeling is that it is acceptable, with 'Credit to the artists at www.dundjinni. whatever' (sorry, it's on the last page). Many Hoard items in the past have used this approach. That being said, I have also decided that my Desert Planet Outpost buildings would be appropriate, with links back to the folks who supplied the inspiration for the models. I hope that MProteau and Eric don't mind me granting an extension on Hoard submissions until either Saturday or Monday next weekend. I need to finish my Papercuts project and would like to replace some of the windows and doors on the buildings that came from the Kinect Mos Eisley toys. Those should easily be completed after Papercuts ends, and by Friday/Saturday.

I know August is a busy month for projects, extending the Hoard deadline is fine by me as Papercuts will wrap Thursday morning.

Well, if we are extending the deadline, then I should be able to get my Coyotepunc standee formatted for submission. I have also done some work with Mr. Okum's female Romulans, he only has two in his set and I rathered fancied some more subdued coloration, darker hair, and a helmet on the running girl. I have also taken one of Mr. Okum's Federation redshirt security girls and replaced her phaser with a phaser rifle, so we have more than jut guys with the big guns. I won't be able to get anything printed until next weekend, which is why the extension works so nicely for me

You know you can always post these minis in one of the Star Trek themed threads, don't you? For Okumarts mods, I would of course recommend "Where No Man Has Gone Before", though...

Of course, it does, but those three items of mine are not Trek-universe.

Ah you mean this series of movies about a farm boy losing his home and setting out into the galaxy to become something like a space Knight with a glowing sword. And on his way he meets a princess and a scoundrel and a walking carpet... oh and two robots... See, I have no idea what you are talking about...

Here are two Federation security women with phaser rifles, converted from David Okum's Where No Man Has Gone Before series:

David Okum has made some really nice stuff for his not-Star Trek line. There are really only two models I dislike, and they are both female Romulans. The commander type with a bit of resemblance to Kirstie Allie always looked a little off, and the one kind of crouching/running looked like she could do with more of a soldier's uniform and less of the Color Guard stuff. And that smile... it just bothers me. Helmets are always a plus for ground combatants, and his Romulans certainly had enough to choose from. Here is a full page of modified Romulan female soldiers, with different hair, reversed direction, momochromatic combat uniforms, helmets, etc. I hope you enjoy these:

I always thought that said Romulan commander looked a little bit bulky… like "Brunhilda the Romulan" or something.

One more before the deadline! Whenever I start a new genre, I always create a new personal avatar model. I made four different Punkrabbitt miniature conversions over the years, and now I have changed my name and my media. So this is the first Coyotepunc standee, created from components by Nate Augustyn and Adam Steel.

Am I too late or is there still time for a very last mini? A really tiny one, it won't take up any space, anyway. Promised!

I need to swap out the Dewback with my original image. I can do that tonight or post it separately, whichever you prefer.
This is looking pretty full. I'd thought I'd post some of my Desert Planet Building Modules, but I think that is unnecessary at this point, unless someone really wants them. I'll probably just post them in the Mos Eisley Project thread later on

Either way works - just let me know when it's done. I'd be willing to bet the building modules would make a nice "guest artist download" - no need to find a hoard to hang it on.

That's what I was thinking. I still haven't heard from Sirrob01, or I'd throw the dome thing in here. It's an interesting piece, but the geometry came from his UFO dome...

Vermin King - you can PM me a link to what you've got. If you'd like it as part of the hoard, I'll try to make it happen!
