I feel like a punk now, for only submitting one thing... Please don't - it was just an act of some mercy on mproteau (Paper Realms), who will be now gathering all these different files, with various sizes/scale, tabs etc. to put all these into one more or less coherent set (not even mentioning cut-files and assembling figurines for cover photo)

The Hoards are purely optional. If a theme triggers your creativity, great. Could you imagine the size of a Hoard that 1/10th of the members each submitted one item? OMG I'm afraid mproteau (Paper Realms) would either ask for extra time or we'd never hear from him again

Next year I think I have it worked out for a good way to do a corn maze, but I'm not sure which way is the best way to do it.
Would you guys think 2d rows that interlock would be best, or should I consider the 3d version, based off Tommygun's blast barricades?

Just remember, the more we make, the longer it takes.

I've got the PDF built, a new printer installed, printed out the three pages, whipped up the cutfiles, and got the minis cut and edged! SWEET! Monday nights are free for me, so I'll probably get to finish gluing and snapping a photo. I even was able to get a head-start on the promo pic template. This'll be done SOON!
Some months are harder than others, and it has nothing to do with the size of the hoard. But, today was a good day.

I don't know what Tommygunn's blast barricades look like, but I would think 2d sufficient for single rows of corn. If you wanted several rows between passages then something 3d might work better. And it could be re-skinned into a hedge maze (maybe.)

A horror themed crawl set in a corn maze would be a really cool setting for a gaming session!

Great job pulling it all together, mproteau (Paper Realms)! I didn't realize I was supposed to put the credit/copyright info on the base--reading the Hoard rules, I inferred that basing would be done in a standard way. My fault--I'll know better next time. Thanks for including me in the Hoard!

WARNING! OT!I wonder how Parduz is doing? HEY! I'm here, guys, doing well as usual. The forum tab is fixed on the firefox bar, I check sometimes what happens, and sometime i comment on the Facebook page of some of our friends. BUT I lost all my "gaming time" 'cause my job and the sons requiring a lot of taxiing, so my free time is now devoted to finish some of my music and get it "published" (just making it available on soundcloud, really). This makes me not really following game-related forum 'cause i have no use of whatever will be said So, i'm now a lurker, but if you need me just "tag" or message me so i can see the little baloon, and i'll appear again

Would you guys think 2d rows that interlock would be best, or should I consider the 3d version, based off Tommygun's blast barricades? Hiya, Vermin King! Hope everyone's prepping for a horrifyingly fun Halloween You appear to have forgotten the corn maze I made for the Halloween Wars three years ago [ Forum Hoard September 2013, Halloween Wars 2 download] I took the original OneMonk, Jim Hartman's corn rows (from here), extended them, made up a field using his earthen and grass textures, designed a maze, and wrote up some plot hooks to go along with it. Along with plenty of references to most of the best of Cardboard Warriors' Halloween creations to that date You can see pics of the build here in the forums. Unfortunately it wasn't a full-fledged adventure as I'd not had enough playing experience - much less DMing or adventure-design experience - to do a proper job of it. Never fear, the Picnic Adventures is still a thing, and I'll be re-running this scenario this weekend, adapting it for D&D5E and possibly Hero Kids. Please, have a peek, see what you can make of it. There's a empty field map-tile you can adapt to make a field of almost any size, and/or use as the base for a corn maze with the extended or regular rows, and a small corn-maze I designed as well. If I can get this properly written up, I may publish it one day, linking back to the model with will be free so long as our mighty Hordes/Hoards stand... P.S. Thanks again to old squirmydad for fixing the tops of the cornstalks in the final files. While I like the white better when these are handcut, I'd not realized the problems they would have caused for auto-cutters. P.P.S. I set the corn rows in slits in the foamcore, and it worked wonderfully. Stable &/or storable, your choice. P.P.P.S. Thank you, oldschooldm, for shouting out my witchy avatar in your magnificent entry for the PaperCut Awards this August. I modded Jim's original to better resemble myself, used it for my avatar, but lost the files - including the full modded mini file - in a bad hard-drive failure a couple of years back. I think there is still the single hard copy hanging around somewhere... P.P.P.P.S. (ridiculous! ) chiefasaur, you too might want to take a peek...
