This might be a bit of a long ramble, so bear with me....
I just found an old copy of Shellendrak Manor on the net, and picked up West Wing for Shellendrak Manor with the idea of actually making a Zombie Manor game for the FLGS near me, and decided to take a break and peruse the boards here. Now I was looking at FlatMinis pics on the fantasy football player flats they just came out with and having WWG's Terralinx system in my head, I thought "Maybe I can figure out how to make a pitch fit onto the 7x7 tiles that the TLX system uses. It shouldn't be too difficult to get the textures and create a pitch, dugouts, and even a passing template for Blood Bowl LRB." I have an idea in my head already of how to make the passing template able to break down into smaller pieces for storage using a modified TLX arrangement.
Since I have the next 2 days off from work, and my printer has gone TU at the moment (waste ink tank is full), I will see what I can come up with on that in GIMP. Now, obviously, the size of the squares are going to be slightly smaller than a "standard" size pitch, but with the amount of 1" figures out there for fantasy football games, I don't think that there would be any difficulty in using them for anything but "official" tournament play. Bulding the dugouts would be nothing using some of the fantasy elements of TLX, and maybe I will be able to figure out some way to make some stands for fans as well.
Any one else have any thoughts on the idea?

It seems, tat Once upon a time, there was a WWG fansite with loads of kitbashes, even football pitches: wwgf.wikifoundry.com/ But the links don't work anymore (i'd like to see the adbventures for the harbourmaster for example...) :-(

Have you tried the wayback machine? I don't use it much but I hear others sometimes have success.

There are a few pitches out there. aaron has one and there were a few others. Just do a search for 'pitch' here and I think you will find some other examples that can help you to figure out how you would like to do yours
