Just a quick heads-up for those who may not drop-by the Wargame Vault part of the One Book Shelf download sites very often (RPG Now, DriveThru RPG, etc.), as their annual Winter Offensive Sale started today (2016 December 26), and runs till 2017 January 2 (10:00 US Eastern Time). That means 25% off on all sale products, of which there are over 4400 (that's 80+ pages to scan through at 50 items per page!).
Of greatest note is there is a LOT of papercraft available there, with many manufacturers you'll known from the CWF joining in, and of course there are plenty of other wargame rules, counter sets, artwork, etc., etc., too. Definitely worth a look.
And a quick shout out to nolabert, as the Skeletonkey Games products available on Wargame Vault are also part of this sale right now (which doesn't include the full range of products on RPGNow/DTRPG, unfortunately). You can, incidentally, obtain exactly the same discounts currently on those other OBS sites, but they aren't flagged there as being in a sale. This goes back to a discussion we had on 2016 October 1 on this thread elsewhere on the CWF.
Could this be why so many of the Dave Graffam models are currently down to $0.75, from $1?
nolabert: Just a word of warning. For some weird reason the SkeletonKey bundled products ARE NOT currently giving ANY discount at all - you'll pay full price for every item in them. Interestingly, the description pages still tell you what great savings you'll make, but fails to point out the discounted price noted IS NOT the price you'll be charged if you click to buy! I'm guessing these will revert to normal once the Winter Offensive sale is over, and that's important, because some of the savings on the bundled products are ordinarily MUCH higher than the 25% sale price right now! For example, the two e-Adventure Wilderness bundle products have savings of 35% and 41% ordinarily.
woosh: also, where can i find cool ships and mechs? im looking particularly for any spider tanks or spider mechs. ive seen the site with all the mechwarrior papercrafts and ive made a couple of those but none of them are especially spider-like

cowboyleland: Now I have seen it. It doesn't advance our hobby, but anyone with half a brain who wanted 2nd rate figures could easily figure this out for themselves so I guess he isn't doing any harm.

berneart76: well, this is fun, (not) transferring all my papercrafting sets into the cloud. The stuff I got from DriveTrhruRPG was simple with their library desktop app,but my other stuff, sometimes with multiple duplicate copies is entertaining.

berneart76: Vermin King I usually use a mix of drybrush/watercolor/photocopy and occasionally posterizing at different levels of opacity.

berneart76: Vermin King, that's similar to the enhancing that I do on my texturing. I've found that sometimes I need to scale up or scale down the image (usually by 50 or 25 percent down or 200 or 300 percent up) to make get the enhancements to look "right"

Vermin King: On the zebras, I did multiple enhancements and cartoon filters and used them at 100%, and they still didn't look that different than the photos
Feb 26, 2019 12:27:26 GMT -9
Vermin King: When I make a figure or terrain piece based on a photo, I clean it up and align things to look 'right', then I create another layer and do enhancing and cartoonizing on it. I then adjust opacity over the photo image until it looks good. On the zebras,

Vermin King: berneart76, do you mean giving them green or purple manes and tails? and a few piercings? maybe a cig hanging out of their mouths?
