Wow those look great, I love the mod! For clear cockpits or anything really I usually cut out the window section and cut and glue in transparency sheets.

Thanks uptrainfan89 I try that haha and look how it end. But i think i need other transparency material or other glue. One that not make material destroy :/ What easy to find transparency material i can use? I use polyurethane adhesive glue so it not good for plastic.

Hmmm I guess I always used Superglue on my models but that's just cause I'm impatient and like the models to dry fast and it adds some strength but for transparency, I haven't messed with it in a while, but I think I used just plain old Elmer's white glue (cause i was worried about superglue fogging the transparency) and let it get a bit tacky before applying with a toothpick.

Superglue is strange. I dont like how it work with paper. It can be use for strenght some parts and is good for diffrent material like wood and metal. Dont think about white glue, last time i use it as a small kid I will try it next time i think of transparency windows. And i need some way of making better photos. Hope they good for now.

Your photos are fine. When I do transparent things, I like to use the peel off plastic from tubs of dairy products. Using craft or wood glue, it seems to bond fairly well. I've seen in a different forum people using the cellophane wrappers for cigarette packs, but I don't have experience with it

I will try what i find:) Dont smoke so cigarette wraps are out But they very thin so it will be hard to work with them anyway. Next model i will try have no window so it is a relief

It is a good scratchbuild. You could take a look at the "M722 LEV" from the Genet archive, the transport has nice interior, you can use some parts from there.
For the transparent issues, try the transparent plastic from the blister packs. Like from USB packs, hygiene products, most of small items, really. The back plate should be straight, and if it is a toothbrush or a razor you might have nice curves in frontal surface.
You can edge the seams with silver permanent marker to hide the cuts and glue.

I understand what blister pack is haha. Thanks for advice. I will try diferent materials. I use precision knife for short time. Before i use only scissors. So i learning and find that good sharp knife is much better than scissors:)

I have always wanted to experiment with molding blister pack plastic under hot water, but I have never got around to it.

For interiors, have you thought of doing an internet search for 'Sci Fi cockpit'? Some interesting stuff came up
Have you downloaded any of the Uhu02 models? He has some fantastic interiors that are beyond my abilities, but you might be able to use some of the elements.
Formula 1 vehicles might have interior pieces you can use

Using hot plastic blister sound to much for my skills haha. I have Viper from uhu02 and it is way ahead of my skills too. But some parts can be use for interior.

I like your models and mod. If a could make a suggestion, the open canopy look a bit strange, it seems like to recess into the engine vane. If you can make it look like there's a hinge, IMHO it will look better.

Or make it open forward instead of backward.

Or make it open forward instead of backward. forward-opening canopy is something unusual, I only found the F35 and mig 21PF or this cool light plane

Yes i think I make canopy open this way because of it shape. If i will make it open diffrent i will need to use some supports or pneumatic actuator. Like in first photo of aleks post. But it will look much better open from front side. Strenge but definitely in sci-fi spirit Next time when i make open canopy i will first think how it will look because it was my first time i just do how I think will be most simple:)

Maybe it is on rails and slides forward, instead of tilting

Suggestions for transparent canopy: - cd cases - the plastic "case" around the small stuffs sold in big stores (like the big transparent case of a MicroSD card, that one thing hard to rip which you waste immediatly after). - dunno if this is a thing where you live, but here we have access to free colored transparent little spoons when you buy ice creams I've seen good stuffs made with these spoons, in the past.

Parduz, do you know which adhesives work best with these plastics?

Definitely dont use Superglue I try my favorite glue and it work with no make platic dirty. Is poliuretane glue use for many materials. Dont know how it name in other country but in Poland it is shoemaker glue. To use it i need to put very thin layer of glue on bouth parts, wait a second and connect them together. It give few second for some corrections but after that it very strong glue. I love it because it is very fast and clean.

There are several brands of polyurethane glue here. Gorilla Glue gets the most TV advertising time

I tried testor's model glue. It didn't hold very well.

The canopy opens at the upper rear so radoslawkamil got it almost right! On the IV, here are a pair of C-shaped rails in the hinge mechanism that offset the canopy from the fuselage and upper primary engine nacelle as it rises. The IIIc's canopy opens at the front.

Scale is a bit off, but Paúl Sánchez posted the updated links to imcold's x-wing, and I thought you may be able to use some of the interior bits in your kitbash. xwingpm.wz.cz/index.php?page=1If anyone wants to build that model for me, just PM me and I'll give you my address to mail it to

This X-wing is crazy comlicated Maybe in few years I will try make something like this lol. But thanks, it have very nice interior parts that can be use anyway. About glue for plastics or transparent materials I read in some plastic models forum that is special glue for canopys. It call just Canopy Glue
