Nice!
Does this mean we'll see a release soon?

That looks pretty polished... I like your attention to detail... you even put two ejection ports on the twin-linked machine gun... great work...

Sorry for being MIA. I've been bogged down with work, apartment hunting, lease breaking, packing and prepping to move. I have all the light weapons for the light mecha completed and most of the weapons for the medium and heavy mechs. Hopefully I'll get some photos posted by the end of the week.
Back to the grind...

Beyond the standard gray, does anyone have any color scheme suggestions? I'm also thinking of a desert/mars orange tan, and a forest green.

If you could add a camouflage pattern to the mix, I think these could easily be modified to suit any tastes, similar to the methods used in Armored Core. The gray version makes it easy enough to recolor if anyone wants something uniquely funky. I always liked an orange green mix, but then I was never one for subtlety.

Classic black maybe.... but that might be a little tricky with highlighting and shading...
I would like to see a universal gunmetal/black version of the weapons and some OD Green and Desert Tan Mechs for a classic military look...

Noted, and agreed. Unfortunately, my particular girlfriend needed something 'unusual' to catch her interest in the game, and my usual minis were just not doing that. No apologies for that dastardly scheme, but I'm sorry if you thought I meant anything more than that. That's how I got my girlfriend into Warhammer 40k... Pink Sisters of Battle. So I was tinkering with some designs for an electronic jamming support device for the heavy mecha and my mind wandered and I started to treat it like a force field generator. But now I'm thinking that I ended up with a Sci-fi Fabrege Egg... What do you guys think? Keep the design or go back to the drawing board...

Hmm... I would stick with just one design as opposed to an open and closed design... since the in-game effect is always on.
The level of detail may be a little too high as well... it just looks a little crowded. That may be where the Faberge effect is coming from...
Maybe something more like a vertical rectanglular shape with concave sides?

Maybe something disc-like...something like the design of the AWACS radar. The disc could be a perpendicular to the tall axis of the mech, or parallel in a "shield" position - either way, a shoulder mount would probably look the best. To me, a disc shape looks like an emitter/generator, and has an analog in real life in terms of radar transmission. While a sphere suggests the same idea, for some reason a sphere seems too much like a light bulb, not a "shield generator" ( not that I know what one looks like. ;D)

Howzabout the mech could be holding a low frequency-sonic-disruptor (read "boom-box") on its shoulder ;D
Have fun! Steve

Don't mind it - you should look at having a slip on disk that sits around the generator to show what mode it's in. Think like a blast template but a ring.

Electronic Jamming Device take two: Better than the egg?

Looks great, IMO. Lots of chunky bits that *obviously* detect and scramble incoming signals, distort light waves, warp space, or whatever.

The egg looks like some kind of Bomb, could make for an interesting game marker. ie defend the bomb for 3 turns then activate it and it blows 2 turns later. Attackers are trying to disarm it or once activated remove it from the target area.
Just a thought

Yeah,
Mission based games are great fun and might fit well with these rules!
Nice idea!
