That''s a great start there uptrainfan89!! If you ever find yourself out of graph paper, here is a great site that makes graph paper in many configurations, converts it to a pdf file and lets you download it for future use: Incompetech Graph Paper Maker

Here is what I was thinking for Fighter/Bombers, just a simple 2D token on a flight stand:

Thanks! I'm pretty happy with the way the test builds are coming out so far. I'm working on the Battleship concept next, I think it will be just a hair bigger than the Carrier. I also have some ideas for other fleets (alien as well) and hopefully to make the parts semi modular like being able to place the wings, engines, bridge, and such where you want, maybe other parts as well. It's sort of a learning experience as I go too Lol!

I totally forgot about that thread lol. Funny enough a big inspiration for the way these ships look actually came from the way some of the armor pieces look and attach to Slick's NCC Power Armor.

Thanks! I plan on coming back to this project, I just need to fix a couple small things on them, then get the test builds scanned into the computer and redrawn in illustrator then find or make some textures in Photoshop.

I cannot like this stuff enough. I love 2.5D spacecraft. Thanks, me too! I currently use WWG Wormhole ships for all my space battles (love how they look) but felt they were lacking at least one more fleet so decided to give it a go at making a set. It's definitely a bit of a learning curve learning how to use Illustrator and Photoshop, I'm still not the greatest at making textures so I might have to see what I can find, least till I'm a little better at making them.

I use the two small Wormhole ships (Particle-something and Corvette-something) as alien aggressors with my cardstock 2.5D Star Trek fleets.
Related: I was one of the playtesters for Wormhole. I apologize for the problem with Verus missiles; I tried to warn them, they wouldn't listen o.0

Nice the Particlebow frigate and Control corvettes are neat, my favorite is the Hastatii frigate (I think that's its name, advanced version) in the Verus set. Oddly enough I actually have never played Wormhole yet, I've mostly just used the ships, tokens, blast, etc for other systems, which currently I'm working on a D20 Future campaign (which has starship combat in it).
Bet that was fun to test! I really wish they would have made another fleet set, WWG just seems kinda dead now sadly enough. The biggest project I got to be a playtester/builder for was Armor Grid: Mech Attacks newer 2 sets!

Ok here is my first 2 Starships, the Dagger and Dragonfly Class Cruisers. I need to make more formal build instructions still. I recommend using superglue gel to attach the pieces together as it dries fast and glue stick for all the sandwich folds. The Red lines are score lines and the Green ones are cut lines. Edit: I decided to take the Sample Ships download down for now as I'm retexturing them for a commercial set in the works!

Your models looks great, but I'm a little surprised that there's no tabs. Ok , I know superglue will works well, but I'm wondering if I could tweak a little your design to add tabs for my "building pleasure" :-)

Yeah I'm thinking of doing some test this week/weekend with tabs. I'm thinking there is a good chance the final set may have them, or at least mostly have them where possible. I'm pretty much just calling these two test/sample models at the moment.

Here is the Dragonfly Class Cruiser textured. Sorry for the kinda low quality pics! You can take screenshots in Windows super easily these days. Under Windows Accessories, look for the Snipping Tool. It will take about 30 seconds to figure out how to use it. I've put it permanently on my Task Bar.

Hey guys, I posted this on the forums Facebook page first but I'm really excited to say Neo Miniatures (me) has teamed up with the amazing artist and game designer David Wears of Grey Matter Games for his starship combat game Stargosy!!! Here is a sneak peak of some 2.5D ships and space elements I've made so far for Stargosy, all ships will have 4 color options (Red, Blue, Green, and Yellow) plus will have an uncolored option. So far I have 3 Cruisers, 3 Frigates, 3 Corvettes, 3 Fighter Squadrons, 1 Transport/Freighter, and 1 Hyper Ring (one color option), ready and more to come! I will also post pics of the other ships as I get test builds finished!
Asteroids, Comet Fighter Squadron, & Galaxy Class Cruiser!
Asteroids, Hornet Class Corvette, Arc Fighter Squadron, Hyper Ring, Titan Class Transport Freighter, & Comet Fighter Squadron!
Hyper Ring, Saber Class Frigate, Katana Class Corvette, & Asteroids!
