My journey into papercraft\card started 5 or 6 years ago where on a whim I purchased the Pireme Publishing Waterloo kits. I made them too fast with little thought of longevity, construction methods or storage. Below is the finsh piece in 2011 Of course, earthquakes, storage issues and neglect left them in a sorry state and 5 years later I found them again about a month ago in the garage. Pretty beaten up but I am quiet fond of them ( I think it is from making things off weetbox boxes when I was a kid) so I started to repair them ....very crudely. A hot glue gun and coffee stirrers did them the world of good. I am getting there and they are still fairly beaten up (as well as the original construction being poor) but after I base them and disguise things they should last a while longer. So, then from there I started to make the Hougonmont kit, a burger joint (WWG maybe I can't remember) and a few weeks ago I also followed a youtube clip to make some very very basic 1/72 Tudor houses (below) - plenty of mistakes but still enjoyable. So here I am .....I have tried a few other simple card kits for practice but they failed or had accidents (cat \ children) however I can now take what I have learnt as I have a Fort Apache, Vauhban Fort and Spanish village I picked up from paperterrain. From there, as our printer can only handle 160gsm I'll most likley make a few 1/72 cogs\longships from heavy card as I need them for solo games in my fantasy world.

For first attempts, you did them more than well. If you need free building models, the forum hoards are a trove of wealth. There should be quite a few paper buildings by Vermin King in there.

Harvard House and Garrick Inn both came out well for novice efforts, and it's always best to practice on free models.
Don't forget the publishers that come by here. Many of them have free models on RPGNow
