Actually the bonsai tree from Kizuna Avenue www.kizuna-avenue.jp/craft/pcraft/bonsai.htmlMom lost another house plant before I had my last visit, so I showed her a plant she can't kill. I did warn her not to over water, meaning 'Keep dry!' Tried to do the whole shooting match tonight, but ran out of time

I wasn't sure about those shelves/wall-brackets to hang the branches from when I looked at the original download page, but your version looks rather better than that one to me, Vermin King. Did you modify them at all?

I just pulled off the limbs and put them in different positions until it looked good The brackets aren't correct, but close enough. One L-shaped piece goes on the front, and one on the back, then a circle on top. After not being able to line up the slots on three out of three, I decided to just line up the circle to fit the rounded tops of the L's and cut out the slots that don't line up. That's the only thing I did differently, other than edging which really makes a lot of difference With Kathy's birthday coming up, and Mothers Day, and my friend Mike's birthday (retired weather service who raises orchids), I am going to give some of these a shot northamericanorchidcenter.org/orchid-gami/Designed by 3-eyed bear, you print off page 1, then print page 2 on the back of it. My plan is to do the 1-star difficulty one, then the 2-star's, a couple 3-star's, then a 4- and a 5-, if they aren't a complete waste of time. But the ones I've seen done, look pretty good. I think I can make them work. On the other hand, I've never mastered aircraft, so only one way to find out

Well, did the first one. It's glueless. I wish it wasn't. Easy build, but I think the shape would be better if it were glue-together. I might go back and do some tinkering, but probably not. It's hard to take photos of that much white I probably should have placed it at an angle like they did

Oh, I am about to make a ton of these -- perfect for my October jungle game, probably scaled down a bit.

The orchids? The bonsai tree isn't very big

Yeah, the orchids. I started with the worm vine, scaled down to 75%. I think I love it. You can see that my printer didn't do a hot job of lining up the front and back images, so there is some unprinted area on the leaves, but it kinda just looks like normal leaf striping, so I'm going to leave it. I also used some strategically placed superglue to hold things together.

I was worried about that on the one I did, so I looked at the diagrams to see what would be the top on each part and cut just inside the lines. I will have to remember to do that on the others.

Mom was quite thrilled with the bonsai tree, and Kathy liked the orchid and picked a couple more out to go with it Kathy is a snowbird, wintering in Texas. I knew that she had some of the models I made her in her Texas residence, but I did not realize the Epson cactus goes with her. I probably should make her another one, but it is kind of nice to hear that she carts it back and forth twice a year. Maybe I'll make her a different cactus. By the way, Canon has a new set of succulents and a monstera plant. I knew about the three cacti, which is why I went to the page. cp.c-ij.com/en/categories/CAT-ST01-0113/index.html
