I believe I found this figure in a One Monk free hoard called Land of Enchantment? Not quite sure, as I tend to mix those up, and I also think I saw figures from Squirmydad in the same post. Either way, no offense intended if I got this wrong, and happy to be corrected. Anyway, as I have said repeatedly, I am NO ARTIST. Still, the piece intrigued me, and the whole set (whoever made them) gave me a kind of a Lapland-ish feel. However, perhaps the artist ran out of time to finish the piece, but the creature's hooves were just white outlines. It also got me thinking, for some reason, about the fire mares from the movie Krull. So, I pulled some flames off an efreet, and turned them into the creature's hooves, which I think gives it a nice, magical feel. Next move is to come up with rules for it in S&S (my one page, 'original roleplaying system' clone). P.S. I am also a big one on the kind of 'fantasy feel' descriptions that you got in the original Fiend Folio. Lots of simple wizardry there, for monster origins (the gods did this, some wizard nobody ever heard of sacrificed his favorite reindeer mount to an efreet... etc.). No 'ecology of the catoblepas', or similar rot, which had no part in the medieval or ancient mindset, whatsoever. Mini-rant over. Anyway, here is the flamedeer and rider.

Incidentally, I am putting this in a set I created, for personal use, that I am calling "Ice and Fire" (betcha can't guess where I got that name ;-) ) that is a combination of Patrick Crusiau, One Monk (I guess), and Squirmydad, as well as some free stuff I got off the web. The human types in the Realm of the Tsar of Rhiscontar are essentially a fantasy version of 16th century Russians, fighting a fantasy version of 16th century Tartars. Each side has allies from Vestmarcen (essentially Germany) and their own fantasy cohorts.

Those are from Forum Horde #128 "Land of Enchantment". And while I don't mind re-posts, shares, or mods of my work, I do mind that my name was scrubbed off of the base tab. So I fixed your image upload.

So the original image was created by okumarts it was in his extras section in one of his models set.... I forget which one? I loved it but I needed it to match my Splinterwoods elves because of a scenario I was creating so I changed the rider. I went to Dave in a private message and showed him what I had done and told him he could sell them if he wanted to. Dave told me that I could just give them away if I wanted to. So I went to squirmydad and was like hey! juice it up and he put it into the hoards. I keep bugging squirmydad to put all my stuff on his site but he spurns me!!! LOL!!!

The elk were the bonus layer for the wood elves and I thought it was cool they were given a second life.

Organizing it in small bites is the best way to go on that. Grouping build photos and templates

So I fixed your image upload. Again, I did my best to give you credit. My apologies. I accept your apology. The reason this bothers me is that you consciously scrubbed an artists name off of their work. Yes, you gave credit in the text of the post, but the post and the image become separate once they are released. The image goes off into the wild without accreditation. This is why I always encourage artists to put their name on their work. Once upon a time Patrick Crusiau drew and released many paper minis, he doesn't anymore. One of his stated reasons for no longer releasing his work publicly was a lack of accreditation. People would do mods of his work and claim they were original creations after having scrubbed his name off. People would do mods, credit him in the text, but remove any mention of him as the originator in the images themselves. This is why it bothered me.

I think the best explanation I can offer is that, to the non-artist, the addition of the name of the artist ON THE PIECE ITSELF is just clutter, that gets in the way of the utility of the piece. Granted, it is meaningless clutter, and to anyone who knows the least millisquidgeon at all about computer graphics, it is easy to get rid of.
However, I, myself, knew not the least millisquidgeon at all about computer graphics before I became a regular member of this forum, and could not have done this with a pdf.
But, no offense was intended. Though not an artist, I am an amateur gaming author, and, though I have all of my stuff up on rpgnow for "pay what you want", I can imagine getting miffed at somebody deleting the copyright notices.

Although each of my pages contains my logo and copyright info, I don't put my name on the piece. Now I'm re-considering. Nearly all my models have a blank side that could display the logo and copyright, and my blood drop logo could probably be worked into the texture.--but I don't want to do the latter. I don't mind people modding my work...so long as it's not done commercially. Taking an artist's name off their work is a very bad thing.
