The theme for this month's HOARD is Under-Represented Races This can be any sort of miniature figure or model on the above theme or feel free to submit miniatures off theme. If you submit a figure, they must include both front and rear art, have a proper trimming outline, and include instructions for multi-part models. Recolors and figure mods are encouraged, and even uncolored designs are welcome. No nudity or sexuality, but bloody gory and horrifying is encouraged. If you have questions about how to design your entries, like formats, resolution, and stuff like that, see the HOARD GUIDELINES in this forum category. Entries for the Hoard will be accepted until the last day of January, 2019. Humans, Elves, Dwarves, Halflings? Not this time! This time we need to think of figures that are more ... obscure. Well, as always, the monthly theme is a suggestion to nudge the creative juices. So, if you have a human, orc, goblin, dwarf or elf that you wish to submit, of course we will accept it.

Years ago I made some Kobold merchants, I've always thought I should make some medieval peasants but was never inspired or motivated, so this month my plan is to make kobold peasants. Because they can't all work guarding dungeon treasures.

My group is going to start trying out Mouse Guard next week. I assume anthropomorphic mice are sufficiently under-represented? They will be 2.5d at least.

Those are cool. If we need figs I may well do some mods of those. I have done a bit of research and it looks like the Mouse Guard system isn't very tactical so we probably don't need figures. On the other hand there are already some ideas in my head so I might find time to do one rather than five.

Kool, there of course should be one that is rather matronly with a wicked Rolling pin . . . Just a thought.

I really thought we would have more input on this one at this point Well, you work more now, and now I actually work (I had some plans but never got around to them.) It also seems some of our other regular contributors have gotten busier lately. Sadly, this is resulting in fewer contributions.

I'll bee finishing up my pieces and I'll see about uploading this Horde on the weekend. Happy Chinese New Years! Year of the Pig! It was right after this that my detoriating health sent me to the hospital for a week. So in the interest of closure and completeness I'm making one more villager to round out this set. I should be done this weekend, but I said the same thing in January.

So is this now the Absolutely Most Procrastinated Hoard? If so, maybe there's still time for other minis to be added? (Sorry, this isn't me offering to do so...)

One of the questions that comes up is 'What happened to these two Hoards that I can't download?' I forget the numbers, but nothing was submitted, so they would probably be the most procrastinated. Maybe we should (Okay, I should) look them up and throw them into next year's Hoards.

The Hoards you are thinking of are #106 "Real World Armies" and #107 "Oriental + Bedouin". I submitted a vehicle for Hoard #106 last year to close it out, Hoard #107 still sits open with no entries. I wanted to get Hoard #173 finished before the Procrastinators Hoard comes up as I already have incomplete projects that I want to add in for December.

onemonk.com/fh-2019.htmlIt takes a village to raise an Adventurer and now young Vakka is just setting out on his first adventure guarding the secret underground laboratory of a wizard. Good luck young Vakka! In this village Toglo and Agla are the Elders, Varbu believes she is a master herbalist but is actually just a really good beer brewer. The other kobolds are un-aspiring laborers who have extensive knowledge of about a 1/2 mile of the surrounding region as they don't travel. The house has metal plates on the roof due to the abundance of Drakes and Fire Salamanders in the region. Kobold names created by an online Kobold name generator. Textures from cgtextures.com and the Pixar texture library. Kobolds based on original work by Jim Hartman and modified by Squirmydad.
