The theme for this month's HOARD is The Circus Comes to Silver Springs This can be any sort of miniature figure or model on the above theme or feel free to submit miniatures off theme. If you submit a figure, they must include both front and rear art, have a proper trimming outline, and include instructions for multi-part models. Recolors and figure mods are encouraged, and even uncolored designs are welcome. No nudity or sexuality, but bloody gory and horrifying is encouraged. If you have questions about how to design your entries, like formats, resolution, and stuff like that, see the HOARD GUIDELINES in this forum category. Entries for the Hoard will be accepted until the last day of February, 2019. Come one, come all! Prepare to be amazed and astounded. Of course this is really open. Animals, wagons, all sorts of Old West locals and Old West terrain. Before my time became more tied up, I had all kinds of things I wanted to add, but other than a tent and a couple circus wagons, I doubt I am going to get much done. Besides the circus wagons, I really wanted to get a buckboard and salesman's wagon done, but that is a bit doubtful. What other ideas need to be covered, pardners?

Not sure if it is big enough, but page 1 gets printed twice and page 2 gets printed twice and then they glue together I think the canvas needs to be brighter and more tan. Should I do posters on half the side walls or stripes on the roof?

I think posters should be a separate element so they can go anywhere, as well as being krinkled giving a bit of texture where ever they are placed. Looks good!

Wow, starting at $1.59, AG Smith's Cut & Assemble Circus Parade, www.amazon.com/Assemble-Circus-Parade-Color-Models/dp/0486248615Finding generic posters is proving difficult. I don't want Ringling Bros., Barnum & Bailey, or any of the main troupes. On the newspaper ads from the 1800s, it appears that a lot of these shows had white or solid color roofs and giant posters covering the walls. I have divided my images of wagons between Band, Calliope, Cage, Freight and Misc.

Well, I have the Big Top almost ready, and making progress on circus wagons. Anyone want to start thinking more Wild West and Rodeos? I was trying to catch up on movies and TV shows shot at the Iverson Ranch Sunday and Monday, hoping for some inspiration

Vermin King, I was about to google elephant images and I saw your post. Do you have a link to a larger version of the first elephant you posted last night?

I found it on Pintrest, and could not find a larger image doing an image search. Maybe you can have better luck

Thus far, we seem to be having more luck on circus rather than Silver Springs. I really thought we'd have more folks inspired on this.

I was entirely focussed on the "Circus" part and forgot about the "Silver Springs" part. As I have nothing in mind for "Circus," I'll see what I can imagine for "Old West."

Bump! Eight days left. Has anyone seen a good dancing bear? Today at lunch I found images of some beasties that I thought I could add to the parade. A couple giraffes, some camels, and some zebras. I hope to have some of these with mirrored backs done before this ends. Oh, yeah, and a couple elephants. I need to finish the calliope and throw together a couple freight wagons. I hope to do an EZ-er Bild Vardo like the one I showed in another thread. I'm too stinking tired to remember which thread. Ah, but I found the image.
