Natalia Isabel Novgorod was very pleased with her previous projects. Her super tank Bel’s Kitty ruled the battlefield (for those planets able to afford it in sufficient numbers), while her Puppy carried swarms of infantry to support the super tanks. She was happy, but wanted more: something to make an impression, a big bang. A super gun to provide long range support for her armored giants. Within a month she had the basic design of Bel’s Big Bubba, a long range gun whose smart shells could be directed anywhere to the forward edge of battle or farther.
Her Big Bubba, officially the M-221 Heavy Fire Support Cannon, was a very versatile design. It could be mounted on a static plate, fixed to a ground mount with rotating platform, or even mounted in the cargo compartment of Bel’s Puppy. A particularly popular mount was to bolt the M-221 to a T-97 unmanned tracked weapons carrier, giving the crews a modest shoot and scoot capability. The T-97 was a substantially less expensive mount than a dedicated Bel’s Puppy, and somewhat of a compromise since an M-221 so mounted could only be aimed by turning the carriage. Further, the entire design could be easily modified into a siege howitzer or low orbit defense beam weapon.
Finger and Toe Models announces the release of the 28mm card stock Bel’s Big Bubba. This is a big model. On its ground mount Bel’s Big Bubba has a footprint seven inches square. It can be built in three versions: the massive siege gun, a howitzer with an even bigger bore, and a ground-based beam weapon. Three mounting versions are included: a fixed plate, a swivel ground mount, and the T-97 unmanned tracked carriage.
Remember, every Finger and Toe model comes with SMOOSH ASSURANCE: if ya’ll smoosh your Bel’s Big Bubba, a new one waits your summons from hard drive and printer.
