I am no good at keeping up with lots of social media outlets, but I will try to remember to come back here and post some in-progress pictures when I can! I'm working on some mines, toying with some ideas. I will be focusing on some basic walls later this week, but I had a spare moment and wanted to play with some techniques for putting some precious stones into my walls.
Not sure how well they'll show up once I post this. I'm just beginning to tinker with making a variety of colored stones that sparkle on the walls. Now, I sleep on it and see if I love it or hate it in the morning!

I like the idea. I would suggest a single colour for the stones and bigger sparkles to make them read. But maybe you tried that already.

I was afraid the sparkles would get in the way, but until I test print things, I won't really know. I would have versions of stones in solid colors, and they'd come in all sorts of colors. I'll also be looking to add optional details like lanterns on the posts, buckets, picks and shovels.

I like the way the wall looks but I think I would use slightly less stones. Make them feel rare by not having a lot of them showing. But that is just me of course. :-)

It's a fine point, dafrca. I'm not sure how MANY walls I want to make - I could spend my life making variations that will get little use - but having maybe a sparse collection of stones, and a more concentrated collection of stones might be fine. Thanks for the comment!
