Well I am happy to help with the cutting out and photographing of the figures (Step 3) if others can compile the figures. I can also try to get the figures together if others drop the ball but I don't have a cutting machine and know nothing about them. I will defer to the experts but I know sometimes there is something that comes up. And obviously, as a hand-cutter I wont be testing the cut-files.

Hey, so obviously next month is the Halloween horde (or at least it traditionally is), and the next few months are TBD, but what is "The End" in December? We aren't stopping Hordes are we? I know it is a lot of work, but it is so awesome. Of course, maybe it is just a cool theme idea, end of days stuff like horsemen, nuclear fail-safes, killer cyborgs, etc. Its the latter, right?

Clayface (In Batman the Animated Series Style). I know he is out there already but i thought I would do my own version since he is one of my favorites and I am trying to get back on the Cardboard figure horse. I havent had time to build him, but I think he looks pretty good. Link for full DL www.dropbox.com/s/v78qrf1vlz16vwt/Clayface_003%20copy.png?dl=0

I love this theme but am having a little trouble focusing my ideas. Any thoughts for inspiration or requests for a specific kind of clockwork or dieselpunk contraption? I might go with some kind of tractor-mech if I cant think of anything else...

Still a WIP, but this is what I got going this month. Hes kind of a supervillan, and hes not really enchanting, but there ya go... I will clean up the lines and back art for sure but the Genndy Tartakovsky style is pretty light on shading and I like that... I will also see if I can do a four arms mod if I have time

So this horde is looking great already, is it still open? Do we want to stick Supervillians in here too?

I for one would like to take a crack at some of these. Why don't you give us a higher res scan of one of the sets you put up and we can see what we can do.

Now with Evil Mirror-Mirror Spock ( I skipped Mirror-Mirror Kirk because he has no cool goatee )! There might be lots of problems with this contribution from me... My Bamboo tablet is on the fritz and I am all frazzled from work. I might have gone too light on the shading, I just haven't had a chance to test print this... Please tell me if you notice anything obviously amiss with these two and I will do my best to fix it fast. By the way everyone, great looking horde here. My kids have been flying glennwilliams shuttle around and loving it (I did add a bottom to the craft for strength).

here's a quick group shot from the first set, redrawn let me know what you think Great stuff here. I liked the first series you did a lot and I think these are a nice spin on them. For 28mm-30mm table figures the minimalism is kind of necessary anyway, so the style really clicks in my opinion. Will you re-release the backs of the previous figs in the same style? Also, any chance that you will do any more Samurai Jack (Or Clone Wars)? It may be wishful thinking but that would be awesome!

Great line art, I can't wait to see the colored versions. That is a lot to do though. Good luck and don't be afraid to ask for help!

Some Amok Time action. I am sure someone out there has done something similar but here ya go. I will try to finish up the fine detail coloring and shade them soon (and maybe get to those piles tribbles afterword ).

Well, it's not a winter wars, and it is only a rough back artwork of someone else's original work (http://ozzydanger.deviantart.com/art/Poor-Fellow-Soldier-of-Christ-169694864) used under a CC 3.0 license, but here is a small Crusader fig. I had a month or so of job searching and now I am trying to get back into things after a hiatus. I am trying to cook up something good for Super villains next month.

WIP on the pogo car I am thinking some metal-man style cops are in order (that way there featureless clone faces will make sense right?) I will try to shade them before I am buried in Christmas family fun, but I may be trying to finish on my laptop, which is always a challenge.

I am going to try to get a version of the police traffic car from the Arthur Radebaugh series "Closer than we think." There is tons of great stuff in the same line if you do a image search on "closer than we think," in case other people are looking for ideas. (Jet pack mailman anyone?) Cop car: paleofuture.gizmodo.com/this-cop-car-of-the-future-from-1958-was-pretty-intimid-1568730912Also, I like the idea of seeing all the hordes early, but could we get the current month stickied or something to keep it at the top?

I find searching "sprites" with a popular game, anime, or TV character turns up some good results. There are tons of fan made game projects that are in various states of completion and many make their resources available.

Some minor progress on my Skellingtons: Since this thread has diverged a little into comments on how helpful (while simultaneously challenging in a constructive way) folks on this forum are, let me say thanks to everyone here as well. This Horde marks the 1 year anniversary of my first entry, my rats (aka being brave enough to go ahead and just do it!). It was the constructive criticism offered here on other beginner's models that made me stop finding reasons not to submit my work and start asking for help fixing it. I am not great yet, but I am definitely improving. I am also glad that people as fast and prolific as aaron are still improving when they are already so advanced (cue aaron to complain about being slow despite the fact that he's one of the fastest I have ever seen on the forums ). This is a great community, so much free content from both amateurs and professionals, help from the same great artists on poses, coloring, scaling, and more, plus great War/roleplaying gaming ideas, stories, experiences and galleries. Thanks everyone, and long live the HORDES! On that note what do people think of the coloring on Oogie? Should I go with the Burlap (normal lighting), or the greenish blacklight look from his song sequence (in the WIP)? Just a few more pinstripes and bugs to go...

Check out pokemondb.net/sprites (I am sure a Google search for Pokemon sprites or sprite packs will turn up others as well). They are sprites from the games so the resolution may be underwhelming if you use a gameboy sprite but they almost all have fronts, backs, and multiple versions and evolutions.

My Jack Skellington WIP: Those skinny limbs are hard to deal with. I will try to get Oogie done too if I can finish up Jack.

Gah, I see that I messed up the tabs on my henchmen (They also appear to be a little big. Like, 4-armed temple guardian big, oops). I will try to fix that when I get all the "Big Trouble In Little China" guys on one sheet. Nice horde everyone!

Here is a new version of the henchmen with some lighter colors. I will try to make a single sheet with all the Big trouble in Little China characters and get a dropbox link up in the next day or so.

Why minions? As I was taking my preview pics of the Heroes Hoard it occurred to me that zygrott24 has created the Heroes and Villains of Big Trouble in Little China, and all that's missing is the horde of faceless goons that both sides employed in the big battles. Minions sounded better than Faceless Goons though. Oh, man I was just waiting for an excuse to finish the cast. I guess I need to get out of my slump and get the Lords of Death and Chang Sing started then
