From an engineering standpoint, it seems like a difficult way to do things, but 'difficult' does not mean 'inefficient' True enough Ever since I first became aware of this make of quirky and unusual cyclecar I found myself falling in love with them. They were used in racing and competition with a good deal of success too.

That front-drive steering mechanism looks like a bear Just recently an owner of one of these cyclecars very kindly posted some photos of the front suspension and steering to the 'net which answered all my questions. Basically I'm going to be be using modified front wheel drive components from a Peugeot 206 as the basis of my own version .

Thanks for your good wishes guys Yes I am taking photographs of my cyclecar project as I go. There's not a great deal of interesting things to show off at the moment, just a bare chassis and a whole lot of bits and cardbard templates. Once I have a rolling chassis I'll come back and post some pictures which will make it a lot easier to see what it is I'm doing.

I haven't been around much because basically my health is improved and I'm indulging in my other hobbies now. My doctor made some changes to my meds, most importantly a different pain medication and what a difference! Lego and paper modelling were very much my creative standby while I wasn't well and not really up to doing anything much at all, but now I just want to be out in my workshop working on my elderly bicycles as well as a long delayed project that has been at a pause for over a year or more. As well as that it's late Spring here and the weather is warmer though still wet, which means that wanting to be outside is much more inviting than it was over Winter. You see I have this thing about French cyclecars from the 1920s, but because I haven't a hope of actually owning a real one I'm building a semi-replica of a Colombe/Villard from 1925 or so. My dear old Dad,- God rest his soul, - taught me a lot about the use of tools as well as how to weld and use a lathe back when I was a much younger woman so after years of tinkering on cars and motorcycles I'm well and truly up for the challenge. So I really wanted to say it was great being able to visit the forum back when I was pretty much confined to bed and not able to do much. I really enjoyed meeting you all and seeing what wonderful models and minis you'd created. No doubt I will return to paper and card model making again, but for now I just want to be out and doing what I haven't been able to do for so long. God bless and keep you all and thank you so much for your good company.

OK a lot of preliminary versions showed - some quite nice, while some absolutely needs corrections or serious modifications. Still - the question is do YOU like (across the board) such characters/minis? Thing is these are in most cases almost ready minis (even with B-sides) - so I'm wondering if it is worth to start colouring/texturing process? (Well I'll nevertheless do at least one or two versions but what about full set... perhaps with some serious MODDING possibilities?)
Yes!

Thanks Wild your awesome as always! I have a question for you though, do you really have a GIANT gollom from lord of the rings hanging from the cealing of your airport? if so that makes New Zeland one of the coolest places on earth! Yes at Wellington airport, - I haven't seen it myself though. Wellington is where Weta Workshop is. Gollum at Wellington airport.

Upped my pledge too. Put it on Faceplant too and said TO was better than 40K and you didn't need to mortgage your house just to put together a basic army either

So you've met my next door neighbour then? I like what you done with the three eyed squid and I would be more than happy to have such a mini in my collection.

Awww Aaron, - your new sleepy Aaron avatar is cute I went and had a look at your Kickstarter page and I have to say, 'Cool video mister.' I liked the sound track and the graphics were excellent and were a great match for the sound track too. I thought you did a nice job of talking up your project and the battle in progress layout looked interesting and appealing. As with Splinterwood it's the models that really sell the game to me, but on the other hand I haven't really had a proper look at the rule book yet. Oh and I've made the pledge so I'm on board for this ride

The images are certainly very clear, - how do they look when they are printed out at miniature figure size?

Orange is definitely not your colour aaron, it clashes horribly with your pale tired looking expression. Good looking 'T' shirt design though Step by step gameplay instructions and a battle, - sounds excellent. I'm going to be looking forward to seeing that

Clever At first I was a little confused by this thread's title and thought, 'Oh the poor man being made to fold flat....,' but of course the pictures explained everything.

Most computer generated minis that I have seen tend to be too far into the 'uncanny valley' for my liking. 100+ agree.
Mesper's examples he posted look like they are holding/gripping the weapons with proper muscular tension whereas computer generated figures nearly always look like manikins propped up with sticks.
As a former student of Iaido I know very well that there is a difference between having a lightweight stick in your hands and making the same movements with a shinken. The difference in muscular tension is slight, but the difference can be felt and the difference can be observed by others.

Links so tricky to find CS Yes it's dashed unsporting of the Ruskies not to speak English
I'm very pleased to find some versions of the Renault FT17 I don't have. FT17's got everywhere and are useful for all manner of skirmishy scraps.
