I have been busy with adapting the next building set.
Interiors are done ...
Also went over the roof file and added all missing elements, like the undersides!
Of course there is also a "Saxon" texture version now.
Here are a couple of promo pic test builds ... I am going for "Viking" walls and wood shingle roof version.
Will check everything in the next days and start getting everything packed up for a release. I still need to do fold-flat parts and cutfiles but it shouldn't take too long

Gumroad is a shop site I like to use as it is very easy (and fast) to setup products and also I only pay 3% sales margin instead of 35%. For a small producer like me that is a lot.
The Deluxe editions on Gumroad can contain some bonus stuff that is not included in the Basic Editions. The reason for the Basic Editions was that I got a lot of complaints that users couldn't use layers in their devices (like mobile phones or tablets). So I started to make the preconfigured versions - they can contain some layers too in case you can deal with that but you can also just print and go with them.
But in general for most part the sum of the Basic Editions will cover the same as the Deluxe editions. Right now the Saxon and Viking edition don't have more than the Deluxe edition on Gumroad but that could change with updates later.
Thanks for the response Lightning. I use Wargame Vault/DriveThruRPG regularly but I wasn't familiar with Gumroad. I can see that it would be more appealing for the small producer, given the margins.
GR
Purchased. Will probably find their way into the gallery when I build some!
Thanks for the support! I always enjoy seeing stuff I designed built so I will be looking forward to your builds

Another little bit for October on my Pateron: wicker baskets!
I thought they might be a good fit for the new dark age buildings

Hi Lightning, I'm not familiar with Gumroad. Would the BASIC Saxon and Viking editions on Drivethru together, contain all the same options as the DELUXE version? This a Patreon exclusive model I released today. It was a request and I loved it so much I just had to do it: small and medium ballista. They were required as ship weapons but they will also work on a castle or the battlefield! Turned out quite nice for a papermodel, no? The small ones are very simple and replace the muskets on the ships.
The medium requires larger deck space and comes with a couple of build options.
"3D" bow
Shield
Swivel details
The flat and simple version!
Enjoy Patreons

I'm having a lot of luck with this "modified tent" if you will they do look quite good. The wife insists on mirroring the legs so I'm sticking with that. She also likes the fold over heads, but I'm struggling to get that to work in a way I accept If I would do it, I would make the main horse part the sides that go together on the upper edge. The head would be just flat. Then I would make an optional head part that would get folded over that. This would allow for even more elaborate head options later.

Great idea for the horses! Not much work to add depth. Well done!!!

Here are roof ornament options. First the very simple crossed bars.
Then a more head-like option ... yet still simple - for a simple house!
And finally an option going front to back.
For the larger house (and probably also for this one) I want to make more options later. Different animal heads like dragon, horse, raven to represent different clans.

I'm a big fan. I tend to prefer stronger historic themes in the games I play. Yes, it should be great for that. I am hoping with the ornament options I will add that one could even go a bit fantasy too though. But even when one goes fantasy, I like it when the design is grounded in something real and historic.

I am starting with the A-frame "Triangle" house. There will be two main wall textures, Viking aka wood planks and Saxon aka wattle&daub front. Also there will be three roof versions: wood, thatched and grass. Finally I also provide the option for an "arcade" style entrance, meaning a recessed front wall with a veranda area and columns.
These with alternate options (shield decoration) and the usual color modifiers will give options for many unique looking buildings.
Thatched Viking
Thatched Saxon
Grass Viking
Wood Viking with arcade/veranda entrance

I have uploaded the second part of the build video for the warbrig! This time we are adding the outer hull parts
I have learnt a lot making the first video and wanted to correct these issues in the new video. I found a way my camera can record 1920x1080! Studying the manual does help I also was able to implement whitebalance correction in Blender video editor, so the lighting and color grading should look way more consistent this time.
For the time lapse sections I added background music (although it ends very abrupt then the timelapse ends ... have to work on that the next video). All in all I like it much better than the first.
It does take a lot of time and work to make these. I have a new found admiration for all those youtubers cranking out video after video. I rather make stuff on my cutting mat But I think the video will show so much better than the instruction videos how easy the build is so it's worth it to me.
Anyway, enjoy the video (if you can ) and again, if you could subscribe to the channel to help me reach 100 subscribers so I can customize the channel name, that would be appreciated very much!!!

Hi guys, for the next era/civilization I will move towards the North into darker times: the Dark Age! Inspired by historical Viking and Saxon architecture I am working on buildings and defensive structures for this setting. Here is a first peek at a concept sketch I have done.
I have planned two smaller houses, the "triangle" shaped house and a regular house both with the "veranda" style front option and then a larger chieftains long house with some options for variety.
I also want to make some walls, towers, gate for defensive structures if there is interest for that.
Let me know if you have any special ideas or wishes for such a setting. Maybe I can work something into the to-do list!

I have wanted to make a build video for a while now and finally have a camera mount that allows for top down placement while recording (not requiring my girl friend to be the camera man ... or rather woman!).
I have started recording a build video for the War Brig from the Pirate Fleet Builder series as this is one of the more complex models and feedback I got suggested it will help to show how it's done (versus trying to explain it all in words). I needed to upgrade my Blender and Audacitiy skills for video and audio recording but I got to a place that I am happy with the results. I hope I can improve lighting in the future. Need to study my camera if I can find more options that will help but I fear this is the limiting option so far. But other than that I hope that the "message" is transported in this video successfully.
I made my first try last week and showed it to to a few "testers" for feedback. Now I got the feedback incorporated and you can watch the first step: the core assembly!!!
If you can subscribe on YT, because once I reach >100 subscribers I can name my channel. Also I would love to see some comments there (and also here ). In case you are missing stuff, I am planning to make an Intro-Video showcasing the model in general and explaining the printing part with all the customization layers. Also I plan to make a video or series focusing on the basics like printing, scoring, cutting and gluing for beginners. And of course the remaining parts of the brig too! I hope to do these all in the upcoming weeks and months.

Since completing the pictures for this project, I have decided to develop it into my 2022 demo game. I have been in communication with Antohammer about a set of Seven Samurai character figures, which will be mounted on One Monk bases with custom textures from Papierschnitzel I look forward to Antohammer 's Samurai! Great idea!!!
