Hey, all. I haven't been around for a while and I can't for the life of me remember who produced the egyptian themed sets. Could someone point me in that direction?
Thanks, Afet

I did a quick Google search for hyena, and found this one on Wikipedia: It's a perfect silhouette, so it should be easy to flip to make a two-sided printable mini, and it's black and white, so it should be easy to colorize. Wikipedia lists it as a public domain image, so no worries there. I know it's a DIY solution, but it shouldn't be too hard a one. Edit: I found a few others that might be suitable, including colored illos of spotted hyenas, but they weren't necessarily public domain or creative commons, so I didn't post them here. They weren't hard to find, though. Thanks

I have no idea why the dropbox link refuses to work for the eagle. So I've put it in 4shared. Sorry if this is inconvenient Let me know if it works

Hello, All. Does anyone know of any giant bird minis? The adventure calls for giant owls, but giant eagles or hawks or whatever would work as well. To be clear, they are supposed to be "large" creatures, ie. 10' base. But I can scale whatever's available. Thanks in advance. Cheers, Afet

Hey, all. Here are a few pics of an encounter that occured at the just outside Myth Drannor in the Forgotten Realms. I used Lord Zsezse's Forgotten Ruins and his Elven Ruined Sanctuary. The ground tiles and trees are FDG.

I just noticed this! Great build, ignatious. Could you post these pics in the Gallery over at the FDG forum? I bet people there would love to see the Trees and the nest built. Cheers, Afet

I have seen them ride ram and boar ... so why not goats :-) Well within PERMES Fantasy Series sets there are dwarves mounted on Raptors, Bears, Rams... AND EVEN beer barrels(!!!) But I like afet idea, so why not, there might be also Dwarven Goat Riders as well So here is (simple/basic version) Mountain Goat (Yes I know - horns should be smaller, but remember - this is FANTASY Battle Goat, OK? After some more finishing adding more details, some textures and shadows etc. dwarven warrior can be easily added (perhaps even more than one - so small Goat Cavalry Detachment could be formed;) Awesome. I'll grab the dwarves from the bear-riders and make a goat rider!

Thank you to everyone who participated this year, and a special thanks to Squirmydad for coordinating and hosting the Papercuts. It was marvelous to see so many entries and so much creativity! It gets better every year.

Afet - you continue to be one of the other builders who focuses on building-for-play. Your builds have inspired me to do everything from copy-directly, kitbash improvements, create a competing design inspired by yours, and even try something completely new. As usual, these live-play photos capture a special form of the hobby: Build for live performance. And, again as usual, I hope to be able to copy, vary, and or improve this very setup in one of my future games! Thank you. Thanks for the kind words. I find your work inspiring as well.

"When I first came here, this was all swamp. Everyone said I was daft to build a castle on a swamp, but I built in all the same, just to show them. It sank into the swamp. So I built a second one. That sank into the swamp. So I built a third. That burned down, fell over, then sank into the swamp. But the fourth one stayed up. And that's what you're going to get, Lad, the strongest castle in all of England....." But I don't want any of that. I'd rather.. I'd rather just Sing!!!

Hi, all. This is a setup that I did for an encounter that the PCs had when they found a huge well in the Marsh of Tun in the the Forgotten Realms. The "well" was actually an air intake for the long forgotten Dwarven Kingdom of Oghrann. -The raised area is from the FDG Forest and Ruins set. -The ruined walls are from FDG's Winterhawk ruins. -The Marsh ground tiles and trees are from WWG's marsh set. -The well is made from a kitbash of the EZ dungeons curved walls by oldschooldm , if I recall correctly. -The troglodytes are by Jim, but I can't remember who made the giant lizards (help). The other minis are by Reaper.
