Throathole McMantid de'Morte for the win. The last figure for this set. PDFs and PSDs are up on my Patreon and soon to follow on DriveThru after some holiday appreciations.

The back art for the first figure in this thread was confusing me. So, I'm substituting this guy. I call him Joe, Nurgle's Chief Backscratcher. Aren't his buttocks sublime?

I had to simplify the funky geometry of the sword.

A bit of shameless self-promotion here. I hope you guys will indulge me. I'm on DriveThruRPG here: www.drivethrurpg.com/browse/pub/5679/Jeremy-HartAnd, I'm on Patreon here: www.patreon.com/jeremyhartillosI'm having a big sale during Christmas Eve with all of my stuff selling for $1 or less. I've only recently started doing back art AND colors on my minis. I've been trying to keep a foot in the stockart/illustration world as well where back views aren't necessary. So far, it's been fun and challenging but a lot of effort for very little profit. So, if you guys like my stuff please support my work. Some samples are posted below. I have sets and solos. Solos include a Photoshop version of the figure for custom tweaks.

Another older monster updated. Sort of a mantid stitch zombie stalker. I was tempted to do something freaky with the throat hole but... time hasn't been on my side lately.

It's been an extremely busy and weird month so I'm a bit behind schedule. I've been dusting off some of my undead themed creatures for this month's set. Here's a revision of one of my Blade Wraiths. I've tried to keep the designs a bit more simple and with less black lines. This one might seem a bit too detailed but the intended print size is 40mm.

Thanks for the input guys! I'll try to keep these tips in mind. I think a part of the problem is that I'm hedging my bets a little with every figure because I'm also trying to sell them as stock art. So, the extra details creep in bit by bit.

I got my proofs back from the print shop. Kinda disappointed. Nothing at the normal humanoid scale prints clearly. I don't know if it's my technique or something at the printers. They told me that my images weren't HD enough? Is there something I'm missing during the PDF process? - Option 3
The images do not have strong enough contrast, and they appear muddy when printed at small scale.
I would bet on option 3. You can test it out by modding one model to have stronger and more pronounced light/dark split, and see how that goes. P.S. I do not mean for my words to be harsh, take it as a rough analysis. Or better yet, as my unreliable opinion. A guesswork really. I think you're probably correct. Most of the problems seem to be with the adventurer types. It's hard to get a good contrast and not lose facial expression maybe?

I think I will go back to doing Sets as well as Solos for my paper minis. www.drivethrurpg.com/product/227800/Printable-Miniatures-Set-21Anywho, Set 21 is live now on OBS. The updated format features 4 color variations of each character in a single PDF document. You should be able to toggle through the different colors. I'm a noob at this layered PDF thing. I hope it works.

The last character of this Patreon drop. Still needs colors, re-colors and maybe a bit of additional tweak.

The fourth paper mini design of this month's drop on Patreon. The colors are a bit washed out because it's a pic from my tablet's display. I still need to do at least two more re-colors. Any suggestions? I was thinking purple and gray. And possibly green and pink. Dunno. :^)

These are taking way too long. But, the good ones are turning out pretty nice. Here's an orc/ogre/troll/bugbear. Two versions... one has more wobble in the shadow and highlight layers. I'm probably splitting hairs considering the final print size. :^)

I struggled with a few character designs and got frustrated with the 3/4 pose. Here's one that's coming along quite well though. I'm going to put her on pause and dig out some older designs from my previous sets to update with back art. I want to keep my catalog tight. I hope my patrons don't mind too much.
