Dry fitting looks good. A little bit of luck involved. I left the tabs on while I was adjusting lengths and widths on the end decks, thinking I would adjust the tabs after checking fit. The only thing that needed to be changed was at the points. Purely by luck, the tabs on the upright portion are at just the right angle for positioning the decks. Have to do a bit of bookkeeping, but should get these in place tonight. I also waded through a bunch of photos of Indian Ocean boats, so I have a number of prospects to use as the basis of the sails. Once the decks are glued in, I will have to work on the 'V' and check the height of the keel board extensions. As is, they may be too tall to add the rudder EDIT -- Works, but a tweak is necessary. Width was based on the vertical wall being at the edge of the flooring, but the flat part of the deck did not lie the way I expected, so it sticks out too far, which pulls the sides of the boat in too much. Shortening the deck by 1/8 of an inch would be better. Adjusted the file, but I don't think I will get to the other stuff tonight. There's always tomorrow Nice work. Love what you've done with the place. Use GM64 in the credit thanks. Shawn.

This cat is still alive and kicking, even though I've moved and things have been a little slow. I haven't stopped modifying those great Cardlot models by Grendels Mother. Here are the latest models I've created from his kits. They are definitely themed around a certain character that I do not claim any ownership of. I hope you enjoy these as much as I enjoyed creating them. I'll be posting build pictures soon. The blue car is easier to build, but I like the look of the black one better. The black one looks killer with or without the ram plate. Very nice. Shawn GM64

I have modified several of your designs now and I have even made Batmobiles out of your Super Car and Pony Car and created multicolor variations of your Garbage Truck and a Prison Transport out of your School Bus as well as numerous Box Truck modifications. I am even working on a 1940's Batmobile modification on your 2-Door Sedan from Pulp Motors. I know your are very busy but I was wondering if you ever get the chance to revisit your Cardlot line, could you perhaps design a limousine? A limo would not be a bad addition to your Pulp Motors line as well. It will not be hard to adapt the Pickups in the Pulp Motors line into small box trucks, but a true Ambulance for that line would be a great addition as well. If I had the talent for shading, I might try to undertake the task myself, but I don't. I'm sure that the Pickup is the key to making the Ambulance/Van for the Pulp Motors line, but I'm not sure how to pull it off. Perhaps someone else may be able to do it if you are too busy. so something like this....? www.flickr.com/photos/sean-09/14132816279Seems doable with modification of one of the big sedan models....or the pickup. I have a little look. Shawn gm64

Here's a set of early automobiles. They could represent cars from about 1910 to the early 1930s. The set includes a Phaeton Convertable, a 2 door Coupe, a Sedan, a Delivery Van, and a Pickup Truck. They are all in one PDF file including instructions, downloadable here: drive.google.com/file/d/1wxdr1vR-rq4kg6QhBF3yODn9BoF3Vj00/view?usp=sharing\Thanks for your consideration, Shawn, Grendels_Mother64

I have a few minor things to clean up on the print sheet, so I'll post it later. But all in all I'm pretty happy with this little family of flivvers. I'll get some instructions together, bundle them in a PDF, and post them for Papercuts.... Shawn GM64

So here's the roof. It only has one side printed, so you'll have to marker it black on the inside. It slides down the inside of the back of the body....I suppose if you wanted the roof on permanently, you could glue it between the inside panels and the experior of the body. The style is called a Phaeton. I'll do a sedan and a coupe next I think. Then maybe a delivery sedan and a pickup to complete the set. Shawn.

Sp here's the print sheet.... So a few tips: The fenders have a long fold end to end that needs to be scored to be folded (that makes top and bottom of fenders) The weird red shapes on the fender bits glue into the coresponding white spaces on the side of the bonnet and the body. The headlights fold onto front back of each other, with a little tab that tucks under the front of the fender for strength. Probably best to cut out all five sides of the interior and fit them individually....they may need to be trimmed down a little. Other than that it should be self explanatory.... Give it a go and post some pics so I know the thing can actually be built by anyone other than the guy who made it. Thanks, Shawn

Hey...I finished something....! Almost...no insrtuctions yet. Despite my printer deciding to ignore inkscape....I had to take the long way around to get something to print. I'll put up the sheet (without instructions yet) in a bit if anyone wants to give it a go.... Shawn

I read the whole Obrien series (Master and Commander was the movie based on them). Probably the most immersive novels of the age of sail I've ever read. (although they are set more during Napoleanic era...about 80 years late for the Golden age of Piracy). If you haven't seen Master and Commander....do so immediately! It is quite possibly the best movie ever set on a sailing vessel.
Some other good reads of the era are Dewey Lamdin's Alan Lewrie series....a kind of a racy version of Horatio Hornblower. And the young adult series Bloody Jacky Faber by L.A. Meyer is really fun...especially the audiobooks narrated by Katherine Kellgren. (here in Canada you can get them from the E-libraries most of our library systems subscribe to).
Not exactly the Golden age of piracy...but great sailing yarns to be sure....

Unfortunately, that was one dead laptop ago. I'm not really smart enough to back-up all my stuff online somewhere. Although, this is a longterm plan....we'll see how busy I get over the summer. Shawn, GM64 Crud, did the Victorian Tenements die, too? No...I've still got that stuff on a jump drive somewhere. I really should take a few days and actually finish something, huh...? Shawn GM64

This would have been far more appropriate for last month's Hoard, but here it is anyway. The Invisible Man: I started off with one of okumarts' Romulans from Where No Man Has Gone Before and simply removed the interior. It can be left white or have the center trimmed out. Or, just the tab for the fully invisible look. I might still do a space squid mod... Barbarabarbrabarborough needs a standee as well. Printed on acetate no less....
