About 6 a.m **., I had a quiet moment at work. I had just finished packing up a delivery and had to change the packaging tape roll, leaving a nice sturdy cardboard roll: So... I thought " Ah, bollocks, no-ones around for a while..." Found some nice free-to-download textures. Tiled them up to almost fill an A4 label sheet. Printed them up: Et voila! One simple fortification! It's not so much a tower, rather a round wall, filled with earth and given a floor. I just need a little ladder or earthen ramp. I guess it can be used with 15 or 28/30 mm. Now I have quite a few of these cardboard rolls at home. If I knocked up some low wall sections, it would make a nice "Hadrians wall" style border fortification. ** The peace and planned work was soon shattered with three different people saying something along the lines of " Roooob! I need this now!"

Sweet, looks like it'd be really sturdy too.

Sweet, looks like it'd be really sturdy too. It should be, it's about 6 mm thick. Turns out, it's a bit too big for 15 mm. Now worries, I have plenty more of them.

These were done on my own time, this time While getting stressed out over the Fei Qiu gunship, I knocked up a couple more forts. This time, I scaled the texture to 25 %. The doors and hatches are extra bits left over from some Dave Graffam model buildings (I usually create a sheet of things like doors and windows, so I can add as many as I want.) It is really handy having various textures printed up on A4 self-adhesive label paper and spare "furniture" (ei, doors, windows and so on). It took about 15-minutes to make two forts - If I had used my hot-glue gun to stick the floors in place, that would have been it, but I used PVA, so it took about an hour to cure. Still, quick and simple, ready to defend the empire from the evil undead hordes...

I like the recessed door. Depth always make papermodels so much cooler.

Love these pieces! I have access to a lot of packing tape rolls myself. (Day jobs have to be good for something, right?) Iām definitely going to take a crack at this build too. Great work! /steal
