Did a few quick recolors on the Kawasaki J. I figured my repaint of it would handle Hue changes fairly well, and it did

Sorry, man. I was doing Batman stuff. I like what you are doing.

Had an idea last night on the car. The deluxe version is not very difficult, but probably more than anyone wants to put in for 'terrain'. The base car doesn't look all that Cyberpunk-ish. I had hoped to get some ideas on it. I did a green one to go along with the Kawasaki J cycle, and it just looks like a four-door sports car. What I think I am going to do is put a Paint Your Own version in the Hoard. I'd like to see what others might do with it. Page two of motorcycles is going to be BMW's. The Motorrad Concepts will just about fill the page. Leaves room for the Abrams Star Trek cycle that Kirk arrives at Starfleet on.

The second one above is going to be left out so that I will have room for James T.'s cycle. The Concept 6, the one above the Trek bike, is the first to really give me problems. The opposite side photo would require a lot of manipulation to match the original photo. It's a perspective thing. Actually the back end is more squared to the camera on the other side, and the photo above is more square to the front half. Tonight I will do a bit of mish-mash to get a better bike It would be nice if someone would do some figures, like the explorers in the Verne Hoard to ride these

Well, I'm going to have to come back to these. One of the agents had a very exhausting phone call with me for over an hour.
As I played with Concept 6, every change I make requires other changes. I feel like Dr. Frankenstein

And like Dr. Frankenstein, I ended up with a monster. I'll try again over lunch

My method over lunch was better, but I am not really satisfied with it either. So I have created a new silhouette with the dead on tires front and back and the body geometry of the one side that I think looks best. I didn't do badly on the over-lunch work, but I ended up with some distortions that I did not think were necessary. Then I came up with this new method. As mentioned before, one side is a photo that is more perpendicular to the front, and the other is more perpendicular to the back. By creating a 'correct' silhouette and building it up with the parts from each side should allow for a smoother finish. Maybe I am shooting for Old Parr 120-year-old Scotch when I should be shooting for Dewar's
It's possible that I should have moved on to the Aurora and come back to this. Oops

The Aurora was easy, and started on the Kirk bike, only I have that profile shot of Kirk and thought I would turn him into a removable rider, which got me looking at Blondie at the top. Without changing her riding position at all, she fits all of the bikes thus far. Got sidetracked further playing with her hair. Isolating it and messing with Hue and Saturation gives her some really interesting hair

I was also working on a rider. My thought was that the handle bars, seats and pegs were all at a different angles to each other so I dismembered "Blondie" so people could assemble her on different bikes. I don't know that anyone would bother, but they could. Then I decided to give her a choice of helmets. I used black for the fold lines because it will be at the top of the figures

A Pantin approach. A sort of Build a Biker. I still have to get a better Concept 6. Wasn't happy with the latest results either. Probably why I started building ambulances.

Satisfied with the concept 6 now. Just need to add borders on most of these

Borders are a little trickier when there is already so much black near the edges. Once I finish the borders on the Aurora, I will do the wider borders on the reverse sides. Should be able to finish tonight and make up some bases for them.

Nice! I have the same problem with black borders on mostly-dark artwork.

Crud. Just realized I never went back to widen the borders on the Kawasaki's. I think I'm going to wimp out and only do 6-pixel borders on both sides. I like to do 6 on the front and 10 on the back, but I am really running behind.

Well, one page of cycles and riders is done.

Well, the Kawasaki J's were easy to widen the borders. Do the border on one, then copy and paste the new borders on the other ones.
Realized that the arms need to be separate on the riders, not glued together. I'll have to add 'stop gluing' lines on the arms.
Also need to make up bases for the cycles.

It's looking like shep's bar is going to be a biker bar... EDIT -- It isn't overly obvious, but James T. and the red-haired and blue-haired biker girls are separate, so they could be put on any of the cycles
