Ive been printing these guys out at 75% so they are probably close to 20mm scale.I'm basing them on magnetic squares and plan to have the movement tray bottoms made from sheet metal.

Which game were you going to use these for? It looks quite interesting I have no idea. I’ve toyed with either making my own rules but haven’t done that in years. What most likely will happen is I’ll make a thousand of these guys and then they’ll sit on a shelf until one of my kids destroys them 😉

I have been making magnetic bases as an experiment. the movement tray is a thin sheet of steel foil between two layers of card stock. it seems to work ok.

these are the two products I used.after trying this out I might want to go with a SLIGHTLY thicker gauge of metal. The super thin stuff works ok but it can be a bit "fiddly" since it's so flexible.

What most likely will happen is I’ll make a thousand of these guys and then they’ll sit on a shelf until one of my kids destroys them 😉 Kensai (a samurai mass battles miniature game) has moved their rules online into a "living rulebook" format. There is aslo a free army building app and an introductory "How to Play" video. Looks spiffy. www.kenseiwargame.com/web/
