I am looking for some tripod walkers. Now, there are some very excellent ones at Genet Models but that one is a little, well, tall for my needs. So, maybe a tripod scuttler. What I am after is something that I can use as a small transport (whether for an individual or just a few) for my Yithians (properly, the Great Race of Yith, left hand guy in the picture below.) Later, I will have to figure out something for the Elder Things, but that will probably be a bit more alive and blobby...

Would it be too difficult to fit it with scuttler lower appendages?

I don't think dragnoz ever released this, but I think it would have been perfect

He also had an even bigger one in development that never saw the light of day. Not sure why he bailed on this place.

If memory serves (that's quite an assumption), he went through all sorts of hoops to try to safeguard his site and models, and he still had issues. Also some real life stuff that didn't allow him time to sort through the website problems.
I have looked at this several times and thought the simplicity of the thing would be easy to duplicate, but I don't want it to look like I stole his idea. I don't think I am reading it right, but it looks like one part of the upper leg slides into the other, which would allow additional flexibility in posing. It may have just been joiners, but it would be easy enough to do.
If you were wanting a tripod set up, you would probably want a hexagonal platform instead of octagonal. Then with the sliding adjustable leg length idea, you could position the leg lengthened to put the weight over the other two legs, then reposition the leg to repeat the process with another leg. Just a thought. Tripods are stable, but don't lend themselves well to movement.
I wish he'd finished it

That's a nice one. I have temporarily put this project on hold, due to some sudden life changes (mostly bad.) But I'll get back to it over the summer, I'm sure.
