the minute I got the email update that these were available I went and grabbed them. I wasn't disappointed. Great set. I hope to see more Ottomans in the future.

Well I'd like to continue this theme/thread in the second set - got Ottoman Cavalry set (Sipahi and Akinci cavalrymen) in plans and some work is already done (then, just for fun, some minis of oriental military band perhaps?) But... recently I'm tempted with another middle east/oriental theme - Saracen Warriors - you know, Crusaders, Sultan Saladin, king Richard I the Lionheart etc. - not to mention that it would be a great addition to already released knight TEMPLARS sets! So a lot of plans, but then some work has already been done (vide previews). Anyway, hope it will be worth the wait...

Oh my, those Saracens look very nice. Thanks! Most probably I'll release 2 separate Saracens sets - one with infantry and another (big) one with cavalry - as camels are bigger than horses, so they take up more space and it's kinda harder to arrange such figurines on the sheet, then another one with regular cavalrymen: heavy armoured Mameluks and steppen light cavalry (early Turks), then some desert tribes/Bedouins). Anyway, right now I do "basic programme" figurines and accessories one by one and ideas are developing, so will see how it goes.

Nah, am I quoting myself? But seriously - I'm seriously working on this topic (Saracen cavalry/infantry). Dunno how it'll turn out - kinda wide range of time (conquest ot Anatolia/Byzantine Wars, then Crusades, then conquest and the Reconquista of Spain - so Sultanate of Rum, Saracens, Moors) and sooo... many historical threads! So I'll have to put it all together/generalize somehow, so probably not everyone will be satisfied. But then our papercraft hobbies are also a large dose of convention, right? >> BTW: how to name these sets: Saracens (iike camel cavalry.infantry) or Saracen (like camel cavalry/infantry) ?
