My thin cardboard worked well in the base because gravity worked in my favor. Lid reinforcement is popping loose after it dries. The problem is the glossy outer surface. What I have been doing is a cross-hatch light scoring, followed up with scuffing with an abrasive block. I have attempted with glue gel and with Tacky Glue, and neither is holding. I am thinking that I should move on to the Spyglasses after work and hope for a brilliant idea on the lid EDIT -- I might try delaminating that glossy outer surface, but now that my parts have been scored and scuffed, that might prove difficult EDIT #2 -- De-laminating was the answer. A little fiddly getting to the right depth before pealing, and not as uniform as I would like, but it is a wonderful surface for holding glue

In that last photo he was trying to figure out what was rattling inside Skully. He figured out that the rattling stuff was in the body and that the body was a box. Trying to open the box, the feet came off, so he was trying to see if he could get the feet in there through the mouth. It was fun seeing how his mind processes things. He really liked his book and everything ended up being a counting game

When I picked up Warren and his mom to go to my folks to celebrate their anniversary, Darlene wasn't ready to go. Warren and I played with the treasure chest and figures while we were waiting. The backdrops sadly were already destroyed. Skully the Parrot, surprisingly, still had his feet that Warren is saving. I asked him if he would like me to glue them back on, only to hear 'No!'
He had some small doubloons that came with a dvr that he kept trying to put into Skully's head, which made me think that I might want to do another Skully for him, but making it a piggy bank.
