Hello, here is my Bavarian Army of Max Emanuel. The figures are repainted for my needs from Peter Dennis book "War of the Spanish Succession". That's a project I started two years ago. The plan is to have one day fielded every unit and every single company of the Bavarian Army of 1704. Still a long way to go! Finished till now are just 2 Line Regiments (each with 3 Battalions) and all the "Regulierten" units (milicia operating with the fieldarmy). From time to time I'm coming back to make a few bases. To finish the project will take quite a while! Best regards, Andreas

Most impressive. I have always been a fan of re-enactments, but they don't have enough volunteers to really show how things were. Today's culture has a hard time visualizing all those soldiers coming together for battle. This helps to emphasize how many soldiers were on the field of battle. Thank you

..and I'm just in a scale of 1 base (12 figures) stands for a company of approx. 200 soldiers in real! My whole Army does have at the moment 750 man which is less than a real Battalion. But I love the mass effect of paper soldiers. It's something you will nearly never see in plastic or metal figures. There are very good re-enactment groups and very bad. My biggest problem is (aside of as you said, to few men) that many of the actors are too old and - I'm sorry, way too fat!

So true! At a show, many years ago, someone commented that the Vikings could have broken the shield-wall with just their mass and momentum!

This project is worthy of a place in the Kulmbach museum.

Thank you very much. But the 750 men are just a step. To finish the infantry there are 1500 more to cut out, +Cavalry + Artillery... Don't expect I will finish it too soon
