Hey guys! Feast your eyes on the newest creation of my 4 year old son! I was cutting out some stuff for the HOARD tonight and Wilson wanted to help... so I got him some paper, scissors, and tape and this is what he made (I helped a bit with the base) His very own dinosaur... and boy was he proud! Needless to say, I think it's the best dinosaur I've seen Who knows, maybe he'll be the next Jim Hartman! onemonkeybeau

Good strong lines - who did trimming? If it was him then you should move over as a test builder.

Looks like it is even 2.5D if i am reading the tape correctly. Given a little poster board, he could create you a nice heard. ;D

That's so awesome! One of my favorite things about my hobbies is my chance to share them with my kids and use them to spend time together. Years from now your son will remember making models with his dad.

Very nice! Most kids don't display that kind of artistic mastery until they are like, six. And if I ever saw a dinosaur like that, I would be seriously terrified. It looks like it would swallow your soul after chewing up your body.

Thanks guys!
I had forgotten about this dinosaur that Wilson made... so of course I had to go hunting for it... and found it... along with his other creations (lego dinosaurs, Jim's Demon set (which he calls Orcs), and other models he loves and plays with constantly.
Tonight we're starting a grand experiment... I'm introducing my two kids (Wilson 5, and Madison 9) to the wonderful world of the pen and paper RPG. I bought the new 4E Red Box set (which is AWESOME by the way) and we're embarking on the first quest tonight... simplified a bit of course for my kids... but not too much. The rules are super and easy to grasp as is.
I'll let you know how it goes... they are both really excited and so am I!
Of course we'll be using paper models from here instead of the flat counters that come with the game... so once again, thank you to everybody who has contributed to this WONDERFUL hobby of ours!
Here's to MANY more years of paper cuts and empty printer cartridges!

Ye Gods! Actually, Beau, talking of gods, I reckon you're son is a Cthullu fan - or some such devotee of chaotic beasts. Excellent. ;D
