Hello,
It's been a month since I had time to play a game! Since Antonio (Antohammer) promised his patreons a figure of his choice for a game report in July, I couldn't resist. At the beginning of July I started cutting out the wood folks figures and getting my amazons ready. Actually, I still wanted to make a lot of jungle terrain, but unfortunately I had very little free time. For this game, I have gathered all the „green stuff“ I could find - so that it looks at least halfway to a forest.
The battle
The courageous people of the Amazons have resisted the forces of chaos for centuries. But little by little the warriors were pushed back. One of her queens "The Red" therefore decided to move further with her tribe into the still uninhabited jungle of the north to dare a fresh start there.
After months of marching, they have now reached their longed-for place in their new home. They immediately cleared the forest to build houses and a weir.
But the powerful forces of the forest did not want to accept that their ancient friends – the trees, will have to die now.
They held war councils, mobilized all animals and wood folks to put an end to this hustle and bustle the invaders - or to kill everyone!
Her scouts report that the Amazon Queen, along with her guard and her entire army, is on the construction site. There will be no better opportunity!
„How strong are the amazons?“ One of the tree monsters wants to know. „In addition to the guard, we could spot six regiments, two of each equipped with arrows, spears and swords“ was the answer.
„And how strong are we?“ „We were able to mobilize five groups of wood folks. We are also supported by the northern gorillas, the jaguars and a pack of raptors! That should be enough for these humans! We have already split our forces and surrounded the construction site!“ „For Mother Nature!“
The surprise was nearly perfect! Right at the start of our attack, some of our raptors were able to kill three archers in the northwest.
Unfortunately, the attack of the jaguars in the south was betrayed! Three of the cats were put out of action. The archers in the north also saw our troops roaming the thicket and eliminated two of them.
Then our raptors in the northeast managed to ambush and weaken the enemy!
And the previously successful greenskins in the northwest were finally able to destroy the enemy archers! Now the way is clear for our troops!
Unfortunately we suffered some losses on the other fronts. Finally, the remaining raptors in the northeast, along with some gorillas and blowpipers, were able to clear the way there.
On the northern front, the forest people were able to distract the archers only so that our jaguars could strike from the ambush.
Our warriors from the northwest were able to destroy the enemy swordsmen! Now there was nothing between us and the Amazon Guard!
They fought back bravely, but in the end it was "La garde recule!" and the curtain fell over the battlefield in Belgium .. no sorry, jungle! (bad Waterloo joke, I'm sorry, Vive la emperor!)
We made it! With great losses, we were able to drive the Amazons out in six battle rounds! The jungle is ours again! Nobody will ever dare to come back here ... right?
Epilogue
All figures used are drawn by Antonio (Antohammer). The rules of the game that I used were "Age of Fantasy" (free from „One Page Rules“ ). Since I used these rules for the first time, I unfortunately had to read a lot and have definitely made some mistakes. There were just too many different troops for a first game. Nevertheless it was great fun. I hope to return to the jungle soon
Take care and best regards,
Andreas
