As a community, we have been collectively hit hard by the loss of one of our own. It has left many of us momentarily bereft of motivation as we grieve in our own way.
I propose extending the Papercuts this year by a couple of weeks so that those aming us who have stalled may have a chance to get themselves going again.

I haven't been too active around here in the past year, due to a series of losses in real life, but I do have at least a couple of projects I plan to photograph and submit before the deadline. I agree that with all that's been going on this year, a short extension of the deadline might be in order, so I second Punkrabbitt's motion.

Honestly, I am a bit paralyzed myself. I'll try to talk to squirmydad about it. Maybe he will see this when he gets back from his mini-vacation and we can discuss it

Honestly, from many years of experience in managing Showcases and Hoards and such, two more weeks after having had a year to create an entry usually doesn't make any difference. People will either enter by the deadline or not, extra time doesn't really help with either creativity, or in this case, grief. Shep was inspirational and creative and prolific, not just here but in many places on the internet and IRL. I say if you want honor his memory, build something, create, move forward instead of sitting in a funk. I plan to build some of his Venice models for a Papercraft In Action entry. I don't care about winning, I just want to show off more of his work.
I'm going to keep the deadline where it is.

That's why I need to get off my behind and get the Bragosso ready to submit. Yeah, it goes with an adventure he probably never finished. It was based on the paintings, but tweaked for his recommendations and the single-mast version was purely for him. I need to get it done
