I've been looking for some of the smaller vehicles from WW2 in 28mm to maybe add in to a small skirmish at some point.
After getting frustrated trawling through broken links at Papermau, I finally found a jeep link that worked. It appears to be a vintage french jeep with crew. It printed full page on A4 and looked easy enough to assemble.
After a couple of attempts I printed it at 40% and that seemed a decent enough match for 28mm. I've pasted the jeep parts and half the figure sides to cereal box cardboard and begun construction.
The tabs are very small at this size and liberal use of Bostik glue seems to be needed. I'm scoring with my sharp knife but some of the folds are a bit fiddly. The back seat assembly required 4 scores. The original sheet of parts (a page from a comic or magazine?) contains only a small panel of instructions (in French) and I think I'm going to have to go back to that and study it more closely.
I did look at a tiny squiggle on a tinier tab to try to work out what to do. I couldn't quite make it out. I got my magnifying glass and peered closer. It appeared to be a glyph or drawing and when I managed to bring it into focus...it was a tiny representation of a gallic shrug!

I'm not sure I would object to easy build! Particularly if I was using it for the skirmish games. D'oh!
Ah well. i'm enjoying struggling with this one. There's no tab or fiddly bit so fiddly that it can't be effectively bodged with too much glue!
I note that Dave's are 1/35 scale. What do you reckon I'd have to print that at to get to 28mm?

62% should get you right there Thanks for that, Vermin King. And for the links. I may trawl those for stuff I can use.
Well, I just finished it. I made an awful, cack-handed bodge of it! Ah well, I suppose it's at least usable. I wasn't going for a display piece!
Next one, I'll try the Dave's easy build route , I think!
Ha!

I have this template, but decided it would be far too fiddly at the size I needed it. As it turns out, there is a Willy's Jeep in this year's Matchbox range of die-cast cars at 1:52 scale, perfect for 28mm gaming. If I ever get around to making my blog post about repainting it for WW2, I'll link some pictures here.
