Snowfalls in my homeland was scarcer year after year. This winter I feel like I'm going back in time about 30 years. Snow everywhere, a lot! A picture of my hometown, this morning, 10 AM, +1 GMT, in northern Italy Have a nice year.

But fortunately no snow in Turin, capital of the Kingdom of Sardinia and Piedmont.

It was almost 40 years ago when I spent a summer in Europe. No offense to anyone else, but northern Italy was my place that I felt should be my home away from home. It is so beautiful.
And you can get to all the other places you want to go fairly easily from there
Nice photo, sir

I loved Sud-Tiro when I was there in the summer about 12 years ago, is that where you are aleks? My family hiked far enough up the mountains to find a few patches of snow in shaded spots and my sons had a snowball fight on Canada Day (July 1). The "onion" dome on that church would be a real challenge to model in paper.

I live really near Sud-Tirol, it is the other half-part of my District, called Trentino/Sud-Tirol. Do you remember where you been on your holidays?

The "onion" dome on that church would be a real challenge to model in paper. The "onion" is quite common in Trentino/Sud-Tirol bell towers, I think is a feature that came from German area, to which we are very close. And,yes, it will be a challenge, maybe one day... I like to share some images of the two churches of my hometown. Saint Lorenzo Saint Mary

We're in the 30's and 40's here in Tennessee. It has been spitting snow flurries the last day or two but we dont get snow here like we did back in the mid 80's. We used to get a ton but we're lucky if we get 2 snowfalls a year with a total of 3 inches each now. Mostly its an inch or less.

You probably aren't counting the 'dustings'. Last year in KC, we had 17 winter events, and I could swear we only had five.
Ah, the 70's and 80's. Bitterly cold sub-zero weeks and way too many 20 inch snows, and scientists predicting a new ice age due to carbon emissions. Those were the days

I pulled up a map but most of the town names look familiar.
