Hey guys!
Thought I'd put together a little photo dump of everything I'm working on currently. Which is everything. I have genuinely 0 focus at the moment and am just bouncing from print out to print out and cutting and sticking.
But thought I'd share with you guys all the same!
Hope you enjoy! Cheers, Steven

Today we have, Ancient British Skirmishers, Ancient Roman Cavalry and the last stand of Confederate Infantry. Slowly building up confidence with cutting them more and more accurately. Need to order myself a decent craft knife. scalpel to get those last fine little pieces. Thanks guys, Steven

Invested in a sharp scalpel I've seen a couple of people using around the interwebs. Making the accurate cut outs much more achievable. First French Dragoon.

Morning all. Realised I'd got a little bit scattered with all the various print offs I got over the last weekend. Decided to focus on finishing off my two small American Civil War forces and some tabletop decoration to make a believable warzone for them to fight over. Finished articles below. Learning as I go and making progress with each model I put together. Cheers, Steven

As far as I am aware, all of Peter Dennis' figures are of 28mm scale. But the more traditional 28mm rather than the heroic 28mm of Games Workshop. Hope to have more paper wonders for you very soon!

PROGRESS! It feels like forever, change of pace today. Anto's lovely fantasy miniatures are on the chopping block. Placed onto One Monk grouped bases.

I assume the scalpel is working well for you?
This forum has one of the best search engines I have seen. There is an awful lot of treasure hiding here

I assume the scalpel is working well for you? This forum has one of the best search engines I have seen. There is an awful lot of treasure hiding here 110%! I was happy with the historical troop with the big white borders round them. Once you get in with the scalpel they look so much better and really replicate the soldiers on the battlefield look. It was also a good send on the fantasy and science fiction miniatures. They really stand out once you chop them out and base them. Amen to that! I keep finding threads where you've replied with a link for someone to an absolute gold mine of a model and I keep trying to save them all as I go so I can remember where they all are.

Good Afternoon folks! Firstly, cannons for my Napoleonic British Army are finished. Pretty much a full force now, will do an army shot when I get chance! Pay day yesterday, decided to pick up a Peter Dennis title each month until I have the ones I wanted. Expect some English Civil War goodness very soon! Cheers, Steven

First ECW unit out. These were definitely a challenge and a step up from my usual stuff.

You might try gently scoring the pikes and giving them a slight bend to stiffen them up. Looks good.

If they start bending too much, I think I would try putting a curve into the handles/shafts. On some of my helicopter blades (notorious for drooping), I would take the wider curved end of a capped Sharpie pen and 'score' the length of the blade. The resulting curve helps to keep things more stably in position. I know of others that use CyanoAcrylate (Super glue) to strengthen things

Following the instructions provided, I had to fold over the template for the spears and then slice into the weapons themselves. Moving forward I think I'll be sticking it straight to some thin card and using that. As I basically ran out of spears anyway and had to use thin strips of cardboard (you'll see on my next unit of pikemen). But we learnt something new and that's all that matters! Onwards and Upwards! Cheers guys, Steven

Afternoon all! Feels like a life time, ton of personal stuff going on I won't bore you with the details but things are finally on the up. That means I can relax in the sunshine and get down to doing something I really enjoy. We've got a mix of Peter Dennis and some stuff I've been meaning to build from OPR. Thanks for taking a look, I need to source myself a new printer and get cracking on rounding out some of these fantastic armies. All the best, Steven

Brief update to The Cutting Station. As I've virtually ran out of paper soldiers to build I am currently at an impasse on churning out more in my current set up. I've asked for a printer for my birthday which is in about 20 days to start the fun up once again. In the meantime, a copy of this beauty is on the way to give me some serious inspiration. I really am looking forward to it's arrival and then I can consume myself in a paper mountain of fun starting next month. The easing of the Covid lockdown restrictions in the UK has meant all my expendable income has been put towards Weddings which have been rescheduled. Soon, we can get back to business! I hope you're all keeping well, Steven

THE CUTTING STATION LIVES! Good Afternoon all! Printer arrived on my birthday as expected. I've been slowly working on the Ancient British unit but hit the ground running today and made a start on some Romans too. I'm trying to concentrate on one project at a time so I don't get a bit burnt out etc. My current plan is to build up two units of infantry, one of cavalry and one of skirmishers for each force so I have two small armies to battle it out with. Thanks for looking guys! Steven

Good Evening everyone!
Had quite a bit to show you with my ancients project recently. I just forgot to photograph it all before I went away.
Back from The Lake District next Friday. I'll have some photographs of some finished units for you all.
Take care and stay safe, Steven

Good Afternoon folks, It's been a life time!! But the cutting station lives! My aim (do the opposite of last time) going to try to concentrate on one thing at a time. So my current goal is a small British and small French Napoleonic force. First unit of infantry is ready to go. Kind regards, Steven

So, I got sidetracked. Shock of the century! The blessing and the curse of paper minis is you can start a new project on a whim. Latest models from OPR came through and I wanted me a sci-fi army. Que our very own VerminKing coming to the rescue with not only suggestions but then sourcing me the instructions to build a model which I'm really struggling with. Not got heavy/high quality paper for it and the build is starting to collapse a little. Will place an order for better in the next couple of days and get it re done.
Progress is coming along with the British Napoleonics. Highlanders and Cavalry to come and more are either half built or cut out ready to be built. So progress all round.
Pictures soon.

Photo updates! Progress on the sci-fi vehicle build. A real challenge. My first time working in 3D papercraft and it was a challenge. Definitely looking to go for heavier paper on my next go round. To really help with that. Front rank of my highlander unit are all sorted. Come together very well.
