I've been pottering about making up a Paper Army German WW2 Half Track. I had to sign up to Pinterest. Ugh. Model's nice though! Not my building of it, which is my usual bodge job with crooked bits and strings of glue.
It's designed to be built in copier paper and that's what I used. I reinforced some of the flat surfaces with bits of card inside though. The sides still pop out of shape a little when I pick it up!
I think I printed it at 155% to get to roughly 1/64th scale. The video instructions are cool. The music is a bit, military march-ish; which suits the subject.
It's just waiting for final assembly.
I suspect some of you here would make a lot better job of this and the model is clean enough that it would probably repay a bit of time, love and extra detailing spent on it.
Still, good enough for the skirmish wargame board.
The flames are from Nico Pogarskiy, glued onto transparent acrylic bases from Warbases of Scotland. (Transparent so that they can be used on any surface.) I suspect they'll get a fair amount of use on the table!

Doesn't look bad. Using at least 67# cardstock would have made your life easier.

Finished.
It looks and feels usable. I wanted something which was an infantry support vehicle so that it wouldn't automatically dominate the battlefield in my skirmish games. Anything much heavier, like the 222 which was originally pointed out here, would have a tendency to need the scenario written about it!
I think you are right about the heavier paper/card. Though I'm not sure how I'd have managed to fold the MG34 in half lengthwise! Perhaps I should have done it once on the heavier and once on light paper and used the light stuff for the smaller pieces. The spares could always be used for detailing.
You live and learn.

Pardon my ignorance. Is the 'MG34' the machine gun? Score and fold before cutting it out. The extra paper beyond the printed part helps you get leverage to do the fold

Thanks VK. Yes, the MG34 is the little machine gun. Very thin indeed. I scored as you recommended and it worked. Unfolded a little to glue and then re-folded.
I like these simple versions of vehicles etc. They provide a good, identifiable "playing piece" without being too difficult. Some of the models intended for display or dioramas are so complex! They're beautiful but I'd never be able to make them up and wouldn't want to risk them on the battlefield if I did!

Vermin King - Yes the MG34 is the light machine gun (long barrel automatic weapon). It's one of the two standard LMGs used by the German army during WW2. World Works Games have a Hanomag in their Pharaoh's Descent set, though it is a paid-for set, and the World Works Games site goes offline periodically, as it's no longer properly maintained. If you download and make multiple backup copies of the files though, you should be OK. Not sure if it'll be any easier to build than the Paper Army kit, however. EDIT - Great minds think alike on the MG34! You were moments ahead of me though!
