Hello all!
I Have had a graphics program called Poser a long while, mainly for fun and making some images of character from various RPG'S over the years.
Decided to try my hand at making a few few figures. I have had no experience with GIMP, so made a start using Paint.
A 3D model designer, by the name of Dodger, has been releasing some free figures of classic SCI-FI characters. So i thought i would use of one them as a starting point. I ahve seen other efforts with poser, before but often felt they were too detailed for the scale in many ways, so wanted a simpler Character to start with.
With some considerable initial mucking around i managed to make the following
I made a test print, using the printer scaling to get this guy. Have one of the Irregular series from this site for comparison.
Now the first test was a bit small for 28mm. But he will fit nicely with the 20mm Cthulhu wars project.
If i do more complex human characters i plan on using more cartoon renders to try and keep them more in keeping with traditional art figures.
So is there any good advice of a GIMP novice, or other poser users???
Thanks!

So made an attempt at these viscous green Sods.
Was happy with the progress, until i realized i had forgotten there compression Collars. So no human disguises for this bunch.
Happy hunting!

For those who prefer the Photoshop interface without the costs, there is an online application (meaning that you can also use it on a tablet) called Photopea www.photopea.com/Which really is almost a compleat clone of Photoshop.
